We had a great time on the river. We were not all that experienced but our guide Eric was excellent and went above and beyond expectations both with teaching us the nuances of kayaking, leading us through some difficult spots in the river and pointing out various water birds and other animals. We also learned quite a bit about the history of the river and it’s current uses. All in all it was a fantastic day. We would highly recommend this trip if you love water and nature.

We had so much fun on our private guided kayak trip with Terry. He is amazing! He so knowledgeable and told us a lot about the area. We took our dog with us too and it was very pet friendly. It was a great start to 2021 for us!

This tour operator has excellent service. My family had an awesome experience. Micah, our guide knows her stuff & at her young age, seemed to be knowledgeable with the Russian river and nearby areas. She was patient and accommodating and we never felt rushed.This was our first time to do kayaking and we felt safe with her as our guide. I also appreciate Ben, another guide who modified our starting route to better suit our skills as beginners. Thanks much Micah & getaway adventures.

We had a wonderful time. The portion of river traveled was wild and scenic. Our guide was knowledgeable about local flora and fauna and was fantastic about teaching us how to read the river and pick the safest route. I would definitely do it again!

Great time! Saw Blue Heron, Owl, turtles, fish and more. I liked the flexibility of being able to pull over to shore when want to. Nick our guide was easy going and let us control the pace....

We enjoyed such a marvelous kayak trip and lunch on the Russian River. The folks at Getaway Adventures made it a magnificent day for us and we couldn't have been more pleased with everything. Thanks for a fantastic time and exceptional service!! We will definitely be back for another tour!

I really enjoy this kayak guided tour. It was our first experience with my teen daughter on the Russian River. Everything was organized perfectly well, on time, good lunch prepared. Special thanks to our tour lead Camille, because of her our trip was safe, interesting and not boring at all. We definitely recommend this company.

Our group consists of children age 9, 11, adults up to age 70. Our guide Randy was very professional. For some of us this was the second time kayaking ever. It was challenging, but fun, and perfect for the whole family to enjoy together. The perfect healthy Gourmet Wine Country Picnic Lunch in the Red Wood Grove was just the Icing on the Cake.

We highly recommend GetAWay Tours. It was a great experience. The guide took great care of us and made the trip a lot of fun. The midway snack of crackers and cheese was so tasty and the lunch at the end was full of healthy local cuisine that was delicious. The kayak trip was very peaceful. We saw ducks, turtles, fish, and various birds. The trip ended in a gorgeous Redwood grove. Highly recommend!!!

Great experience and great guide in Dustin Dalli. Very serene and plenty of wildlife. The lunch at the end is worth the wait.
