We had some issues with a late arrival on our ship, and the local tour operator took that into account and accommodated us. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly, and took us to a special stop at a locals house, which was lovely. I highly recommend them!

Marie was a great tour guide. We really enjoyed learning the history of Tahiti and she provided very interesting information about the infrastructure of island, religion, agriculture. A highlight was stopping at her mother’s farm, beautifully set on a beach, where we were served fresh fruit, homemade banana pancakes, and limeade. Interestingly enough, Marie is the great-granddaughter of the author of “Mutiny on the Bounty”. Her multi-generational experience of Tahiti provided a very interesting perspective. As far as timing, we were picked up at our hotel at 8:30 and dropped off by 2:00. There were 8 people in an air-conditioned van and she had plenty of water and even mango soda. Highly recommend!

Much better than the simple drive around the Island. More stops and more personalized and cultural experience.

This was a great way to see the east side of the island. We drove to the meet up spot and it was no problem getting there. The tour guide did offer to pick us up but it was too last minute for my liking. The black sand beaches are stunning and i think better than the white sand beach at PK 18. The temples were so beautiful and peaceful. Our tour guide was amazing and so knowledgeable. The trip to his girlfriend’s parent’s house was the highlight for me and the moms banana crepes were amazing. We met wonderful people from the US to converse with along the trip. The waterfalls are absolutely breathtaking wow! At the end of the tour we ate at Mama’s Beach House next to the lighthouse at Point Vénus and the food was amazing. You gotta try the Mahi Mahi with rice and vanilla crème sauce omg delicious. I’m dreaming about that meal. Top it off with a local beer on draft. Overall wonderful tour. Definitely recommend.

You get a great overview of the island. You learn a lot of the history. It was nice traveling in an air conditioned van.

Did not show up. Did not respond to text messages on morning of tour (we are here - where are you?). Trip advisor refunded money.

The day was filled with confusion. Tour was to be a small group in a van/ended up in a bigger group on a bus. Told van inoperable. Informed we would have a longer tour(approx.6rs) because of more people on tour. We didn't because of late start due to ship port delay. We were told by our tour guide that our tour would be a half day tour not a full tour due to time and some compensation would be given. It was not. Usually a small group tour is more costly than with a bigger group. A lot of the stops were stated for 30-45 mins but at times we only stopped for about 15 mins.. I know Mana (tour guide)tried his best. We use Viator a lot. So we were a bit disappointed.
