This was a really great cooking class. Maya was a wonderful teacher with perfect English. The studio is great and has industrial gyoza cookers so everything came out amazing. We went at 6pm with my family and made it our dinner. It was delicious. Well worth the time and money. Would highly recommend.

This was a fun family activity. You made your own dumplings(10-12) then ate your creation. The recipe was easy to follow and the dumplings were super delicious! A fun activity as a group plus you have an authentic recipe to share with family and friends when you return home. Highly recommended cultural experience.

From the moment I walked in, Maya felt like that warm, welcoming auntie you didn’t know you needed in Japan. The energy was intimate, intentional, and deeply rooted in tradition. This wasn’t just a cooking class—it was storytelling, culture, and connection wrapped into one unforgettable experience. We didn’t just make gyoza… we learned the art of it. From seasoning the filling just right, to folding each dumpling with care (yes, mine started off a little rough 😅 but Maya patiently guided us to perfection), every step felt hands-on and meaningful. And let me tell you… the final result? Crispy, juicy, flavorful perfection. The kind of meal that makes you pause after the first bite. What I loved most was how Maya wove in Japanese culture, traditions, and little personal touches throughout the class. It felt authentic—not touristy. You could tell she genuinely loves what she does and takes pride in sharing it. Also—solo travelers, couples, groups… this is your vibe. I came in curious and left feeling accomplished, full, and connected. 10/10 experience. 10/10 host. 10/10 memories. If Kyoto is on your itinerary, don’t even think twice—book this class. Your taste buds (and your heart) will thank you. 💕 #KyotoExperiences #GyozaMaking #TravelJapan #FoodieAdventures
