In this class, you’ll learn how to make Gyoza dumplings from scratch while also discovering a bit about Samurai culture and Japanese history, all within a traditional Kyoto townhouse.
After the cooking class, you’ll have the option to dress up in Samurai armor(optional) and take memorable photos.

5.00We really enjoyed this food tour! Maya was a fabulous hostess and instructor. We learned all about Gyoza style of making dumplings. We made the “skins” (dough), the pork and/or chicken filling, and assembled the dumplings. And then we cooked them. And ate them!! We were a party of 4 adults paired with a family with three teenagers and it was a good effort for all 9 of us. We had a small challenge of finding the place but once we did, we were all set! Would recommend this to anyone other than with little kids.

5.00This was such a wonderful activity. I liked the idea of learning to cook something that I can share with friends and family when I get home, other than photos. Maya was fun to learn from. The steps were simple and easy to understand. It was a great way to experience Japan in a small way with a big life time impact of flavor.

5.00Very simple and fun class. YO was extremely personable and the setting is ideal for the cooking. We forgot to get the recipe as we were leaving but you get wonderful cooking apron souvenir.
