The guided tour starts with a visit to one of Malta’s oldest quarries which has been transformed into an attraction for tourists and locals alike and which provides a vivid account of one of Malta’s leading skills – the use of limestone for building purposes, a skill that goes back thousands of years. The magic of Malta’s antiquity will be explained at Hagar Qim, Malta’s main pre-historic UNESCO site, overlooking the wide expanse of the blue Mediterranean and the islet of Filfa. From Hagar Qim you will proceed to Wied iz-Zurrieq where (weather permitting – boat price not included) you can take a boat trip to the Blue Grotto, renowned for its crystal clear waters.
After lunch, we drive through local vineyards right up to the idyllic fishing village of Marsaxlokk. You will have time to stroll through the local market set out on its waterfront. Later we proceed to the cave at Ghar Dalam where archaeologists have unearthed ample proof that Malta once formed part of the European landmass.

While the tour guide was excellent - well organized, informative, responsive - I was disappointed that we spent a very short time at Hagar Qim, didn’t get to see Mnajdra at all, and spent almost an hour at Limestone Heritage and the garden. I came to see the ancient ruins. We were rushed through viewing Hagar Qim in about 20 minutes, then later people were milling around the garden with nothing to do for 50 minutes waiting to leave. The times should have been reversed!

Enjoyed visiting the Hagar Qim temple, Ghat Dalem Cave and the limestone heritage park - it is like traveling back in time. Tour guide very informative and she made the tour very interesting. Also enjoyed very much the boat to Blue Grotto and the lunch. Tour well organized and on time.

I was very interested especially in the temple and the Limestone heritage experience. I loved the whole trip. The guide was great, and we were a group only with English and Spanish. I've to say, our guide sometimes walked a little too fast, because we also had older people in the group that had a little bit of trouble keeping up. The information he gave was fantastic. I enjoyed Hagar Qim and the Limestone heritage the most. The cave was interesting, but a little difficult to get down to with all those stairs. But worth doing it. I also loved the possibility that we could take the boat trip to the blue grotto. What fun that was. Marsaxlokk was not such a great visit. The fishing boat harbour was nice to look at, and it was a very peaceful environment. But the market was nothing special. Just the usual tourist trap with little of interest. You can get these things every where in Malta. Lunch was ok and enough, but not wrapped with the fish. I think it's not a good idea to serve fish in general. Also, the fish wasn't properly de-boned. I didn't eat all of it, though it was nice and fresh. And there are people who really don't like to eat fish. The bus trip itself was already exciting, lots to take in, and our guide did give information along the route. I can recommend the trip.

We signed up as an english tour and it ended up as a combined english and german tour. The tour seemed somewhat disorganized and rushed.

The group was far too big this meant much of the day was spent hangng around for people. The group was bi lingual (Italian and English) so much of the day was spent listening to a foreign language. As a consequence of the size and bi lingual nature of the group we did not have enough time to explore any of the places visited. For example we were given just 10 mins to explore Hagar Qim temples and so did not even get to see Mnajdra (which according to the guide books is even better preserved than Hagar Qim). This trip was the most disappointing part of my trip to Malta.

The Hagar Qim temple is incredible. The artifacts in the museum were worth the time to visit. It was a shame we didn’t have the time to visit the second temple. The blue lagoon was interesting and well worth the additional cost. Lunch was very good and was the service.

Very interesting, but sightseeing took place mainly in the time from 12 - 14 o'clock. During this period, Malta is hot and humid in September.
