Start your adventure at Piton du Maïdo, a must-see site offering breathtaking views of the Mafate cirque. The ascent is via the splendid Cryptomeria forest road, lined with majestic trees, creating a soothing atmosphere. Then, head to the Hermitage beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Reunion Island, renowned for its crystal-clear lagoon and its stretches of white sand. A very pleasant and informative trip with Richarson. The views were great. We visited on a Sunday so were not able to explore St Giles as all the shops were closed

We had a layover for 8 hours in Reunion and chose to book this tour and are very glad we did! The Piton Maido and beach were the highlight, and Michel the driver was very nice and friendly

Great tour, very enjoyable. Tour guide, Cedric, was helpful and accommodating, only criticism would be that we had requested an English speaking guide and while we managed to work through with our French I think we would have got more from the tour if communication had been easier and Cedric was able to provide more info on the island and sites visited

We went with a cruise excursion, so I'm not sure which local tour bus they had hired. But it was a really amazing experience, not for the fain hearted either. The road is very narrow and windy and for a huge bus, this was very tricky. It was a Saturday and it was cloudless, which is very rare. So most of the locals also went our driving. So the road was clogged and many times we were blocked or couldn't carry on but we eventually got to the top. That was breathtaking. You look into the Caldera and saw villages in the distance where people live. Isolated from the rest of the world. The tour guide told us ( Simone) that out of all the days of the year, only 10 days it's a fine day like we had this day!! Wow, we were so lucky! I recommend this trip.

That was an excellent excursion and very flexible. We were able to suggest some changes, and the driver/guide had also some additional ideas/possibilities. The only requirement is that the updated/adjusted tour is not longer than the original one. For us, the updated tour was the better than the original one. For example, we are staying very close to the beach that was in the original plan, so we were not interested in it. No problem, the guide organized us something else, more suitable to our interests.

Our guide/driver, Richardson, was a safe and careful driver. He was also friendly and helpful. We saw what the Maido and the beautiful beaches, and enjoyed the tour very much. Thank you, Richy, for the enjoyable tour!
