  What a privilege to be welcomed to Tomas's family ranch! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. The horseback riding trip was one of the best we've been on with a chance to gallop and race through the winding high desert canyon, it was much more enjoyable than the typical loop tour, it felt like we were in a old western movie! Tomas did a great job of capturing the moments in video and photos while riding his own horse. The traditional ranch lunch was delicious and we enjoyed learning about the family history and the challenges of running a ranch in this remote landscape. We highly recommend this experience but the trail ride might be a bit too adventurous for some who haven't ridden a horse before.

  They were very good at keeping my kids comfortable on a challenging ride. We have been on other horseback riding excursions and this was the best in terms of terrain and experience. It was fun to have a farm experience milking cows and then they used the milk to make the cheese freshly made for us to eat at lunch time.

  If you are thinking about riding horses while in San Miguel, go no further. This is the place. We try to always ride while on vacation snd we have ridden all over the world. This was one of the bestvrides we have ever done. The horses were great; the scenery spectacular; but, the best part was how the staff treated us and made us feel welcome. Lro and his family will treat you loke family. They can adapt the ride to the level of the rider and everyone will have a great time. And the ride is thevperfect length: not too long and not too short. Oh, I almost forgot to mention that after the ride the family will prepare for you a sumptous meal.

  This was the first time horseback riding for a majority of our group and it was incredible! We had two little kids that were taken care of so well by the staff during the ride. The ride itself was beautiful and the food following the ride was delicious. We highly recommend considering this adventure if you're out in SMdA!!

  There is a reason this horseback riding experience with Rancho Xotolar has 100% 5-star reviews. Like so many expressed, this was a highlight of our trip to Mexico. It's not far away from the city of SMA, but it's a whole different landscape. The Morin family could not have been kinder or more hospitable. Most importantly, they care about safety and reassured a nervous family member that she was in good hands. We all loved our horseback ride along with their delicious lunch, and we highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to have a great time outside the city.
