This tour was such a great experience! My friends are still thanking me for booking it. Communication about what to expect was great from the time I booked this tour. Definitely pay attention to any restrictions and expectations communicated on the booking page and in any subsequent communication, as it’s all very accurate. We learned so much about the local culture through this tour. We were picked up at the port/wharf after coming over to Mo’orea by ferry by Yvette. She’s such a friendly and lovely person. Our tour guide, Mary is so warm, friendly, animated, and so knowledgeable! We were all enthralled with her. The first major stop, the garden, is absolutely stunning. And the hike thereafter wasn’t too difficult, though it did get a bit slippery at some points (as expected). None of us are serious hikers, but we made it through. Mary’s expertise is definitely part of the reason for that! But the reward—the waterfall—was so worth it! Swimming was a lot of fun. But even just seeing the waterfall without swimming would be worth it. The fruit tasting was a whole meal of the freshest fruit I’ve ever tasted. We can’t wait to go back through this tour the next time we’re in PF!

It was a phenomenal hike. Our guides were very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. I would suggest hiking boots rather than sneakers.

Very nice hike, with a guide at the top (Marie-France) discovery of customs, local flora, a vegetable garden, and other surprises as the hike progresses. The weather didn't work in our favor, but beautiful places

This was the best hike we have taken on all of our vacation! The guides were fantastic! So knowledgeable in history and fauna. It was so amazing to learn about plants that provide perfume, nail polish, paint, food both edible and poisonous. The swim at the waterfall was so beautiful. If you are not used to hiking it is a bit strenuous with the humidity but they helped me make it to the end which I am ever so grateful for (I an in my mid 60’s and not very physical). I would have missed out on. They provided a beautiful snack at the end and we tried fruit we never knew about. Please don’t miss out on this adventure.

Definitely a must do! The hike is fairly steep and some parts are slippery but definitely doable and worth it once you get to the waterfall. The water is so fresh and not deep at all. Yvette enhances the experience by showing you important flowers and facts about the Polynesian culture. I’m so glad we included this experience in our trip! This was definitely our favorite part of the trip.

This was the most amazing experience with the best tour guides. Knowledgeable about the vegetation, crops, land and history of the island. The hike to the waterfall was so beautiful and worth the effort. At the end the fruit was delicious and all from the surrounding property.

Very nice hike made exceptional thanks to our guide Marie France. From start to finish a multitude of explanations about plants, fruits, jungle flowers. Marie France with her kindness and humor captivated us by making us discover the culture of her island. The hike is intermediate level, some slippery passages but made easier thanks to the poles and the help of our guide. Beautiful swim in the cool waterfall, we even saw an eel. On the return stop for a delicious tasting of fresh fruit, just perfect. I definitely recommend this hike. Thank you Marie France!

Mary France was a fountain of knowledge about Polynesian culture and the medicinal and cultural uses for so many plants around Polynesia. She gave us bamboo sticks to help us get to the waterfall and took so many wonderful photos for us. When we left the waterfall she had made us a lunch of fruits from her garden and sweets like Banana Pudding. She was fascinating and so lovely to listen to.

What a wonderful hike with Marie/Mary and Yvonne! Both women are incredible forces of nature (I’m quite confident there’s nothing in this world that Mary cannot do) and so knowledgeable about the area and Polynesian culture. The hike was much more strenuous than we were anticipating, but we got through it! Would not recommend if you’re not very active at baseline, but worth it for young and/or active folks!
