The "Independence Monument" in Uganda is a powerful symbol of the country’s liberation from colonial rule. Located in Kampala, it was sculpted by Gregory Maloba, a renowned artist from Makerere University, in 1962 to mark Uganda's independence. The monument depicts a figure holding up a child, symbolizing the birth of a new, independent Uganda and the end of colonial oppression. It stands as a reminder of the struggles and triumphs of the independence movement, capturing the nation's pride and aspirations for a self-governed future. I did the half day Boda Boda tour with Josh on my first day in Kampala. It was the best introduction to the city. We spent 5 hours visiting Kabaka’s Palace, Gaddafi Mosque, Makerere University, Katanga, Taxi Park, Batanga Road Crafts Market, Independece Monument, and Nakasero market. Josh gave me lots of information, and I had pletnty of time to take photos and ask questions. I always felt safe riding on the Boda Boda, and you are given a helmet plus hair net. Definitely make sure you try a rolex on the trip!

What a fun way to see a city! Great tour, saves time navigating between locations. Tour covers most of the Kampala highlights. Jesh and other drivers are great, with safety first approach while driving through congested Kampala streets. I was in hurry because of the flight and Josh was kind enough to accomodate me being dropped at the hotel without losing much of the tour. I would highly recommend this tour because I cannot think of the more fun and fast way to tour Kampala

As a solo traveler, I'm always a bit cautious about booking tours, but this Boda Boda tour exceeded all my expectations. It was the absolute best decision I made in Kampala. From the start, my guide made me feel safe and welcome. He was an incredible rider, navigating the traffic with ease, which let me just relax and enjoy the ride. He wasn't just a driver; he was a fantastic companion and a wealth of knowledge, explaining the history and culture behind every stop. The itinerary was perfect. We saw the majestic Gaddafi Mosque and enjoyed the stunning city views from the minaret. The serenity of the Bahai Temple was a peaceful break. The real adventure was diving into the sensory overload of Owino Market and the Old Taxi Park—it was an experience I would have been hesitant to do alone, but with my guide, I felt completely secure and immersed in the local life. What I loved most was the flexibility. As a single person, I could ask questions and spend more time on what interested me. We stopped for a local snack, and he took photos of me at all the best spots. It felt like exploring the city with a knowledgeable local friend. To any solo traveler hesitating: do it! It's fun, safe, and you'll see a side of Kampala you'd completely miss otherwise. A huge thank you to my guide for an unforgettable solo adventure

we had an amazing day exploring the city with our guide Jesh and Julius. they were super friendly and reliable. we could fully trust their driving skills. Jesh is a great character and shared so many insights and tips with us. he answered all our requests and questions patiently. not only that but he let us modify the tour so we could skip the places we weren't interested in and spend more time in others. we really enjoyed the interesting trip around the local market and all of Kampala. can't thank them enough. would go again any time.

We had an absolutely fantastic time on our motorbike tour of Kampala and couldn't recommend it more highly. This tour is incredible value for money and offers a unique experience you simply can't get without a trusted local guide. What makes this tour truly exceptional is its flexibility. Our guide, Jeshi, was open to any itinerary changes and special requests. In a city notorious for its crippling traffic jams, a motorbike is truly the only way to get around and experience the city's diverse sights. Our guide, Jeshi, was an exceptional professional. Not only did he offer us fascinating insights into Ugandan history and culture, but his commitment to our safety was paramount. We were provided with helmets and hygienic single-use linings, and we were always driven at a safe speed with his constant attentiveness to rider safety. Kampala can be crowded and hectic, but we always felt incredibly well looked after. Over the course of our six-hour tour, we experienced everyday life in Kampala, from the hardships of the slums to the bustling energy of the markets, and visited different places of worship. We also saw stunning landmarks, and Jeshi even helped us shop for delicious local fruits. It was a truly memorable day. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Kampala.

A wonderful tour with Jesper. He was kind enough to take me to the places I was keen to see. Also, his knowledge of the city was very informative for me. But most of all I enjoyed our conversations. See you soon ☺️
