It was a very nice experience with typical food and very rich... Stefy my guide knew a lot about the food, the history of the neighborhoods we spent... I had a great time, it is totally recommended if you are interested in knowing typical food, you like to know the place quietly walking... you also have time to do some craft shopping in a nice market...!!

I was lucky enough to be the only guest on this tour. Kevi started off teaching me more about the history of Ecuador and answered the many questions that l had about the relationship between the urban and ethnic population. I feel I have a much better understanding about the country l was visiting, and value that. He took me to restaurants I would never have found on my own and introduced me to traditional foods of the Quito and the mountainous areas. He explained about the nutritional value of certain foods which are important for members of the population. We visited the ethnic market. We visited the vegetable, flower and fruit market. We walked a fair amount but not excessively and I enjoyed looking at the neighborhoods we passed along the way. Kevi is very proud of his country and it's resources and is a very good representative of his people He is friendly and professional. I felt safe traveling with him I enjoyed the conversations we had and I really enjoyed experiencing the foods of the local people that I would never have known about.l would never have found the interesting out of the way places we went to if I had been on my own. Highly recommended. Thank you so much Kevi, I loved being with you.

Melana met us at a very open spot so it was easy for her to identify us as well as we her. After a five minute walk in the neighborhood, we started with a dish of mashed green plantains with an egg (tigrillo). An excellent breakfast food that was filling and satisfying. We then travelled another 5 - 10 minutes for stop 2 for an Andean ceviche (cevichochos). Our 3rd meal was mote conchicharron which consisted of corn, peas, deep fried pork belly, lime and vegetables. For number four was some local ice cream (sorbet) made from local fruits. Not too sweet, but tasty. Number 5 was fresh fruit from a local central market and finally empanadas, we chose to have 1 containing spinach and cow cheese. This was not only a great day to spend with a very pleasant local guide, but also one that knew where to go where the “locals” eat. A must when exploring a new town. We highly recommend this food tour.

Malena was an excellent tour guide, and it was a very comprehensive overview of Ecuadorian history and culture. She knew her stuff! And also made it fun and engaging. I was only here for two days, and this was all I needed to get a great sense of Quito. The tastings were terrific with quite a variety of offerings. Malena, thank you for sharing your knowledge and providing a warm welcome to Ecuador!

Malena, our guide, made the whole tour a fun, memorable experience. She was not just knowledgeable about food but also the city in general, offering helpful tips for other experiences in Quito. The food was delicious and varied and Malena was very helpful with providing gluten free options. Highly recommended!

Gabby and the leader Steffie were so upbeat and warm. They explained the history behind the food, the ingredients used, how it was cooked and the way the people of Quito used it in their lives. The food itself was fantastic but when we could understand how it evolved we could doublely enjoy it. The drinks ordered to go with the food were so delicious also. Everything was made fresh with whole foods so was very nutritious and filling.

Stefy and her assistant, Gabby, took us on a delightful foodie adventure. We sampled many new, tasty foods, beans, bananas, juices, honeys, fresh fruits...healthy, creative combinations we can't get at home. I am glad we signed up to spend some time with these two kind, enthusiastic women! It gave us a real appreciation for the wide variety of wholesome foods farmers grow in Ecuador.
