You can also visit the “Artisanal Market” if you want to bring souvenirs of the country, such as ponchos, hats, etc., and you will know a local market of the city where you will observe fruits, food, etc.

What To Expect
Casa de la Cultura Ecuatoriana
Between Av. Patria and 6 de Diciembre is the House of Culture and in front is a McDonald's establishment. At the entrance you will meet your guide, you will recognize it by our brand “TuristiK”.

Near the university sector, we will visit a restaurant where we will eat the famous “CEVICHOCHO”, this is a ceviche from the Andes, instead of fish it has grains from the mountain. Flavors that mix between salty, citrus, sweet (an explosion of flavor)

5.00Gabby and the leader Steffie were so upbeat and warm. They explained the history behind the food,the ingredients used,how it was cooked and the way the people of Quito used it in their lives. The food itself was fantastic but when we could understand how it evolved we could doublely enjoy it. The drinks ordered to go with the food were so delicious also. Everything was made fresh with whole foods so was very nutritious and filling.

5.00Stefy and her assistant, Gabby, took us on a delightful foodie adventure. We sampled many new, tasty foods, beans, bananas, juices, honeys, fresh fruits...healthy, creative combinations we can't get at home. I am glad we signed up to spend some time with these two kind, enthusiastic women! It gave us a real appreciation for the wide variety of wholesome foods farmers grow in Ecuador.

5.00My friend and I had a wonderful time on our food tour with Malena! We tried all kinds of dishes from local restaurants and vendors, including breakfast, lunch, fruits, juices, even ice cream. We tried things we never would have known to try by ourselves. Malena was very kind and welcoming, and she taught us all about the history of the food and the city. This was a great tour and I recommend it for anyone who wants to experience the local food culture in Quito!

5.00This was a wonderful tour! I love to experience new cultures this was more than just tasting different foods. Our guide Vivi was awesome. She was so knowledgeable about the different foods and the culture around the dishes. My wife has a gluten allergy and she made sure to accommodate the food choices for this. We got to visit some markets for some quick shopping along the way. I cannot recommend this tour enough for anyone that likes to try a variety of local food and learn a little about what Ecuador has to offer!

5.00Malena was a wonderful tour guide. I ended up being the only one on the tour, so I had the opportunity to connect with her and learn more about Ecuador. I highly recommend this tour! The food from the local spots was really tasty, and it was a good mix of different dishes that Ecuadorians eat.

4.00Interesting food tour. More food to sample than ability to digest. The guide was informative and responsive, but at times, hard to hear clearly because of the cadence and high pitch.
