Afternoon wine tour with a lunch stop. A great option for people who desire the expert knowledge and connections that a winemaker tour guide can offer. A compact tour with time for lunch at a winery (at own cost).
On our half day tour you get up close and personal with the Marlborough wine region. You visit 3-4 wineries which can include a visit to Makana Chocolate Shop. Lunch at a vineyard restaurant is always a highlight for our half-day customers.
The half day small group winery tour has an itinerary but the tour guide will invite participants to make winery requests and vineyard suggestions.
If you have a favorite wine that you would like to taste and visit then we will do our best to take you there on this Half day Winery tour. This tour does not include a visit to Cloudy Bay, Fromm and Hans Herzog.

5.00Our guide Amanda took us to 4 BEAUTIFUL winery’s, where we had a delicious lunch at one. 2 of the winery’s were smaller, which happened to be our favorite. It was a beautiful day in Blenheim. Would definitely recommend!

5.00My friend and I did the half day afternoon tour and had an amazing time. We didn’t know much about wine but learnt loads without being overwhelmed with information. All the wineries were lovely places with really attentive and knowledgeable staff. Our driver and guide was Darlene who was really friendly, welcoming and knowledgable. We’d definitely recommend this tour!

5.00So much more than just Sauvignon blanc! Darlene was a great guide, and the 4 wineries (including one for lunch) were a really nice variety of places to see and taste - enough so that we bought several bottles to fly home with. Really appreciated the dinner recs as well!

5.00Today’s “Half Day Winos Tour” with Darlene was fantastic!! Darlene’s knowledge of wine making and particularly of wine making in the Marlborough region was brilliant. We came away knowing more than we knew when we started AND enjoyed a great selection of wines along the way. Each vineyard - we visited four; all different - shared similar types of wine with us which gave us the perfect opportunity to compare like for like and discern our preference. Lunch at the Saint Clair vineyard was delicious and reasonably priced (considering we were a captive audience) Darlene even managed to squeeze in a visit to local Makana confectioners - an added bonus. I have no hesitation in recommending Hop’n’grape Tours. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
