What To Expect

Nairobi National Park

Being the only national park in the world next to a city, a game drive into the park is a must have experience. Early morning pickup at your hotel or airport takes you to the park for a scheduled entry at 0630 hrs. Enjoy an early morning drive in search of the wildlife of Nairobi National Park. A short drive out of Nairobi’s central business district or JKIA airport is the Nairobi National Park. Wide open grass plains and a backdrop of the city scrapers, scattered acacia bush play host to a wide variety of wildlife including the endangered black rhino, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, buffaloes, giraffes and diverse bird life with over 400 species recorded. After your 5 and a half hour game drive, you will exit the park and be transferred to your hotel or residence or airport.

This was an unforgettable experience. My driver and guide were exceptional and friendly. I saw lions, giraffe, buffalo, ostrich, crocodile, rhinos (white and black), monkeys, hippos, impalas, congoni, eland, and a serval. It was a phenomenal half day which I cannot recommend highly enough!

With Peter as our guide, we had an amazing time on our wildlife tour in Nairobi National Park. Peter is a really competent, kind, and knowledgeable person. Given our interest in bird seeing, he was gracious enough to point out the finest viewing locations. It's a good idea to pack snacks for the journey and to be informed of what is included in the costing as well as any additional fees. I am really grateful to Safari Update Travels for this amazing experience.
