DISCLAIMER: Online tickets typically sell out months in advance but the Cultural Office in Aguas Calientes reserves 1000 tickets per day for in-person purchase. If online tickets are sold out, you will need to arrive very early in the morning the day BEFORE your tour to present your passport to reserve your ticket IN-PERSON. It is possible the ministry of culture will require arriving 2 days in advanced depending on how busy it is. Our team is in Aguas Calientes monitoring the situation and we will advise you on when you should arrive. We will keep you informed on your booking in case you need to change any hotel or train tickets. Your guide will meet you in Aguas Calientes and help you with this process.

5.00We booked our Machu Picchu tour through Wonders of Peru Expeditions, and everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. From the warm welcome at the train station to the seamless coordination throughout the day, every detail was taken care of. Our local guide, Percy Gonza, made the experience truly unforgettable. He did an exceptional job not only sharing the fascinating history, culture, and traditions of his people, but also helping us capture incredible photographs and guiding us to the best viewpoints for truly breathtaking scenery. His knowledge, passion, and friendly personality added so much to our visit and made Machu Picchu even more special. We would highly recommend Wonders of Peru Expeditions to anyone planning a trip to Machu Picchu, and be sure to ask for Percy Gonza as your guide if you have the opportunity.

5.00Overall I had a wonderful experience. I took the train to Aguas Calientes and at the train station somebody was waiting for me and helped me purchase my Machu Picchu ticket for the next day. Since my tour at Machu Picchu started at 6.00 am my guide - Percy - met me at 5.00 am in front of my hostal. Together we walked to the bus station. After arriving at and entering the Machu Pichhu site we went to a view point to watch the sunrise. The whole tour Percy would tell me very interessting facts about the history and culture of Machu Picchu and the Incas. He was a great guide. He even helped me take some really nice pictures since he knew all the spots with the good views. After the tour we took the bus back to Aguas Calientes. I would really recommend anyone to book this tour - it was such a special day. The 6.00 am ticket was and is the right choice since you get to watch the sunrise and it is definitely not as busy yet. It is a 100% worth it to get up this early.

5.00A wonderful experience, the place is charming. We were very well guided by the guide Kermint Nina, who made us take advantage of every detail of the tour, with stories about the place and the culture, best places to record our photos, not to mention that he himself was our photographer. I went with my daughter, and she shares the same satisfaction as me. It was all very charming. We loved and recommended the guide, which was perfect in everything, even giving tips on which side of the bus we should sit to have a better view.

5.00This company is outstanding. We booked their services for our Machu Picchu tickets, bus transportation, and guided tour. They advised us to arrive at least two days in advance, so we reached Aguas Calientes on Monday and were able to secure our Wednesday tickets for Circuit 2. Everything was very well organized. One guide met us and accompanied us to the bus station, while another was waiting for us at the entrance to Machu Picchu. As seniors, we especially appreciated Roy’s kindness, patience, and attentiveness. He checked on us throughout the tour, adjusted to our pace, shared the beauty of the site, and impressed us with his knowledge. We are very grateful for such a wonderful experience. Thank you!

From the very beginning until the end of our trip to Machu Picchu, Sam was always there for us, making sure everything went as smoothly as possible. I’m talking abt the US office. I can’t tell the same abt the one in Peru sadly. What stood out the most was not only his kindness and honesty, but also his incredible attitude and professionalism when unexpected issues came up — especially with the entrance tickets and other logistical complications. Even when things became stressful, Sam handled everything with patience, transparency, and genuine care. You could really see how hard he worked to help us and make the best out of every situation. Travel doesn’t always go perfectly, and some things are simply out of anyone’s control, but having someone like Sam supporting us throughout the entire experience made all the difference.
