Snorkel and Sail with the USCG Licensed Crew aboard the Sailing Yacht "FURY", a beautifully restored Morgan 46' Ketch. We actually "SAIL" out to the refuge and encounter the Green Sea Turtles in their natural Habitat. The reef is home to many species of tropical fish, octopus, stingrays and an assortment of corals. The experienced crew will guide and entertain you while keeping you safe in and out of the water.
The Captain and crew will point out significant historical sites as the Yacht exits the Harbor, the sails will be raised and the guests will experience Real Sailing out to Buck Island. (about 40 min.). Upon arrival, guests will be outfitted with all the gear needed to enjoy this experience. Fury also provides Flotation devices to those individuals who are less comfortable in the water. Rum drinks, beer, soda, bottled water, snacks and FUEL are all included with this trip.
This tour is available for Private groups of 25 or less, as well as individuals and small groups.

Must be able to climb a 7 foot vertical ladder without assistance to get in and out of the water. Otherwise guest must stay on the vessel during the snorkeling portion of our trip.

What To Expect
St. Thomas
FURY and her US Coast Guard Licensed Crew Sails out of the Historic Charlotte Amalie Harbor, passing by the ruins of an old fort and customs house and into the beautiful blue waters of the Caribbean. We continue to sail to the National Marine Wildlife Sanctuary at Buck Island aboard a meticulously clean and restored sailing Yacht. We arrive at Turtles Cove and provide guests with professional snorkel gear and a short lesson and orientation about the bay. Snorkel in clear calm waters with the Green Sea Turtles and a variety of marine wildlife including octopus, tropical fish, stingrays and a beautiful coral reef. Alcoholic Beverages, soft drinks, snacks and a fresh water shower are all included. Unlike other tours, Fuel and Crew are also included in the Price. No $$ Surprises at the end of your trip.

5.00Mike and Nicki are at the top of their game in making 17 guests comfortable aboard their beautiful 43’ Morgan sailboat. Plenty of time to snorkel with drinks and snacks (including rum punch) following the successful turtle-spotting session. An exceptional tour!

5.00Not a snorkeling fan but booked this charter anyway. Easy to get to even when you are at Crown Bay (Royal Caribbean Wonder of the Seas). Captain Mike And first mate Nicki made all 17 of us comfortable from the time we checked in to our getting back to the dock. Mike has the right balance of seriousness when doing the safety protocols and lightheartedness for most of the sail. Got guests balanced quickly, motored out and set sail so smoothly … Mike and Nicki make a superb nautical team. Snorkelers got their gear quickly and were able to make the most of the 1 1/2 hours available. Many folks DID get great pics and videos of the sea turtles. Snacks, drinks and rum punch followed after getting underway for return trip to docks at Havenscent. This was an exceptional excursion for my wife and me even if we just swam at the cove.

5.00Wonderful half-day experience with a short sail and then snorkeling at the island. We saw turtles and fish, but also a pair of Eagle Spotted Manta rays. Careful with the rum punch they serve after, it will kick your butt. Captain and first mate were great.

5.00Captain Mike & his shipmate Vanessa are very knowledgeable of sailing. They explain everything in detail & make you feel safe. My sister & I spent my 60th on this excursion. There were only 5 other people on the boat & this made for a more personalized trip. They explained how to use the snorkel & mask, sanitized each one, helped you get in & out of the water, if you needed help. You had options to use a life vest or not, a noddle if you preferred, a floating mask if you were not comfortable with a snorkel & mask. We went from the Marina to Buck island & they told some history of the area & answered our questions. Vanessa got into the water with us & showed us where to go see the turtles. She brought up a large shell with a crab in it & let each person hold it & take pics. We saw several turtles, a lot of fish & we snorkeled over beautiful coral where there were small & large sea urchins. I saw a small octopus. Great music, light refreshments & Rum punch on your way back to the Marina. Don’t miss out on a wonderful experience to sail & snorkel with sea Turtles & so much more. The only regret was forgetting my waterproof phone pouch but a nice lady (Callie) sent me some underwear pics. 🙂

5.00Captain Mike and Nicky were great. They were safety conscious, but also wanted to make sure that everyone had a good time. Both are very knowledgeable about the island and the sea life where you snorkel. We went on the 12:30 tour and brought some light snacks with us, but water, soft drinks, delicious rum punch, granola bars, and pretzels were provided. You need lotion sunscreen or be prepared to put on aerosol before the boat leaves. Aerosol sunscreen is not permitted on the boat.
This sounded like a nice trip?....beware of their booking system!

1.00I attempted to book this tour through the operator's booking vendor, VIATOR, and an hour and a half after the request to book was submitted my trip was declined. I am posting this so any attempted buyers are aware, when you book through this tour company, their booking system VIATOR has no idea if Fury is available for the time you requested, even though they let you try to book the trip. I had to enter all my credit card info to submit the request. Then when it was declined, nether VIATOR, nor the vendor (who both had my email address & cell #) even attempted to tell me when I could book a different time or day! I went into the tour co.'s website & it showed a later trip I could book the same day in VIATOR but of course I have no way of knowing if that trip is actually available. In the declination email VIATOR offered me some other trips I might want to try instead, but they were in Barbados not St Thomas. Overall, this booking attempt was in my opinion a waste of my vacation time and an epic fail on both the vendor & VIATOR's end of this extremely poor, non-real time booking system. The vendor should just have you book by phone. This was very aggravating because I only had time to do this trip tomorrow and could have booked a different tour if I knew they weren't actually available. If I were the tour operator I would find a different booking system. Here are the options suggested in my email Booking declined Unfortunately, your booking has been declined by the operator. You have not been charged for this activity. We apologize for the change of plans. 3.00Having gone on many snorkel tours in the Caribbean islands this one definitely was lacking by comparison. The excursion was supposed to be 4 hours but was 3 1/2 hours. We went to a cove where we saw 2 turtles, no coral & no fish. They provided rum punch or beer after the snorkel. The “snacks” were a small bowl of pass around pretzels. We chose this excursion because it was considered luxury & capped at 12 - 15 people. It was not luxury, the hold was messy & the bathroom was worse. The price was $159/person & we were reminded that they expected a 20% tip. We would not recommend.
