At either 8:00AM or 13:00, your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel lobby and take you to our bicycle store to select suitable bikes. After getting comfortable with your bicycle and hearing a safety briefing, we will begin our ride. Our first stop is the Long Bien Bridge, the oldest bridge in Hanoi, built over 100 years ago during French colonial times. From here, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Red River, watch boats float underneath, and observe green vegetable farms on the island.
Dong Ahn
We will begin by cycling along the banks of the Red River, enjoying the stunning natural beauty of Vietnam's countryside and observing farmers cultivating their lands. Our journey will take us to a local family that specializes in the art of bonsai, where we can learn about this intricate craft and admire their stunning plant creations. Next, we will continue our cycling tour to a local wet market and we will then take a break at lotus lake, where we can quench our thirst with refreshing sugarcane juice or other local beverages. We will continue cycling along dirt roads and through rural villages until we reach the Co Loa Ancient Citadel. This historic site was constructed in 200 BC and played an important role in Vietnam's history of establishing and defending the country against foreign invaders, specifically Thuc Phan An Duong Vuong.

Had a great 1/2 day . Started with moped pick up from hotel then cycle into the countryside . Looked after well by Brian (excellent English) and his colleagues on mopeds making sure we were safe. Delicious lunch at the end.

The highlight of our trip thanks to our amazing guide Brian and support cyclist Kai. The cycle was a great way to see Hanoi both city and out into the countryside. Would definitely recommend.

Really recommended, a special adventure . Super nice guides, speak good English, good explanations. The train did not go into the old part of the center so they took us on a scooter to another wine and we could still see the train. Thanks!

We were initially worried about cycling in and around Hanoi given it’s our first time here and the busy traffic, but our fears were quickly put to rest. Our guide Brian was very confident, friendly and led us from the front, as we were also accompanied by another friendly gentleman on a scooter who acted as an escort (much appreciated and made us feel very secure on the chaotic streets) They made the journey out of the city seem like a breeze, with regular check ins along the way. The countryside part of the tour was terrific, stopping by old villages, farms and gardens. Brian was very knowledgeable and engaging in each of the prepared stops, and even allowed us to meet an older gentleman of a traditional house who had some great stories of past life in Vietnam! After the journey, we were escorted by scooter to a local restaurant back in Hanoi for a delicious lunch. In summary, an awesome experience with two excellent and friendly guides; well worth the price.

You are picked up by a motorbike, this was fun and quite an experience in peak traffic. The bike ride was very easy so no problems for anyone

Summi and her team were amazing! We did a half-day cycling tour around Hanoi and loved every minute of it. The guides were funny, energetic, and made us feel comfortable biking through the chaos. Seeing all parts of Hanoi by bike was such a unique experience, and the traffic alone was wild to navigate. So glad I got to experience the city this way!

This was such a fun cycling tour, from navigating the bustling streets of Hanoi to riding through the quiet lanes and open fields of the countryside. We stopped for a coconut coffee along the way, which was amazing and came with a lovely view. There were also a few other special stops that made the experience feel extra memorable. Brian was an excellent guide, and having extra guides focused on our safety—something I’ve never had on a cycling tour before—made the whole experience feel smooth and reassuring. I’d absolutely recommend this tour to anyone who loves cycling and exploring.

More than a bike ride you will have an opportunity to meet interesting Hanoi residents. We met workers in a broom factory and watched them assemble brooms made with dried grains from the rice fields, rode by rice fields followed by resting with coffee and coconut juice in a lovely neighborhood water lily garden. But the highlight was that we were invited to share tea in the home of a former Vietnamese soldier and retired teacher, who generously welcomed us into his home and gave us a tour of his beautiful bonsai tree garden. . It was a deeply personal and memorable experience. Our guide Brian was terrific!
