From the first step into the streets we can see locals live, eat, pray, and do business right on the sidewalk. The Old Quarter has been around since the 11th century, when Hanoi (then Thăng Long) became the capital. There were 36 Craft Streets – Each with a Story. Streets named after the goods once made or sold there: Hàng Bạc (Silver), Hàng Gai (Silk), Hàng Mã (Paper Offerings).. Walking through these streets is like walking through chapters of Hanoi's merchant history. The Old Quarter is the heart of Hanoi cuisine: join this walking street food tour we can try: Phở, Bún Chả, Egg Coffee, Sticky Rice, Bánh Mỳ, and more (from 6-7 dishes/drinks) family-run restaurants passed down for generations. Note: The food can be adjusted to meet your own taste.
Hanoi Train Street
Built during the French colonial era (early 1900s), the railway connected Hanoi to the north and south of Vietnam. Train street visit is one of the most exiting experiences in Hanoi, seeing a train passes just inches away from homes and cafes. This once-normal street has become legendary.

We recently explored Hanoi, Sapa, Halong Bay, and Ninh Binh, and Jenny took care of everything - from hotel bookings to airport transfers and itinerary planning. Her services were top-notch, and we got great value for our money. The walking food tour was a highlight, and I was impressed that the food and coffee were included in the package. We visited amazing spots, and Jenny even gave us a bag of snacks and coffee along the way. I highly recommend her services, and I'd definitely book with her again if I visit Central or South Vietnam.

Jenny's walking tour of street food in Hanoi was MAGICAL. She showed us her city, the markets, the old quarter and train street like she was introducing us to her best friends - it was that warm and personal. We ate 4 amazing meals in the 5 hours we were together, we drank hand-poured salt coffee (delightfully delicious) and enjoyed Hanoi Beers on Train Street (a scary-fun experience!) She shared with us history, culture, religion, politics... and food. Jenny also helped us PLAN our trip, including: Amazing Cooking classes, an Incredible Lantern Boat ride in HoiAn, an Exhilarating Scooter food tour in Saigon, an Enchanting 2-night cruise on Halong Bay, a Mekong Delta floating market and glorious homestay expedition, Incredible Basket boat adventure, Magical Ninh Binh excursion...And she arranged all in-country transfers which was SO VERY HELPFUL Jenny went out of her way to help us get our VISAs expedited, SIM cards activated and money exchanged at the best rates. We couldn't have enjoyed our vacation as well without her help. Thank you, Jenny! We will be back.

We used Jenny to organize our 10 days itinerary in Vietnam. She setup all the tours and transfers and customized our itinerary based on our needs/wants. Jenny was very responsive and flexible, she runs a small family business company which we liked. Upon arrival to Hanoi, she met us in the hotel with her husband and they did walking food tour for us. It was great introduction to Vietnamese food. Next day her husband and a driver took us to Ninh Binh day tour. It was a good experience even though weather didn’t cooperate we still enjoyed it. Jenny organized very good and knowledgeable guides for us in other places: Da Nang and HCMC. Highly recommended Jenny and her services for Vietnam trip, she was very easy to work with and pleasure to deal with.

Is it your first time in Vietnam? This is a must do on your first day. We would not have known what to eat, where to get it from or even how to order. Doing this your first day just gives you the confidence to know what to do for the rest of your trip. We did our food tour with Jenny from the blog and loved every minute. • We started with Pho for a traditional breakfast, this came with a chopstick lesson • Then an ice cold salt coffee if Strong Coffee! Had a stroll around the old quarter and Jenny showed us where some good shopping was... Then grabbed a takeaway Bahn Mi to eat at Train Street. While we waited for the train I had a refreshing lemon iced tea and Hubby had a Mango Smoothie • 9 . Then when I thought I couldn't eat any more we had Bun Cha • which I think was my favorite. Another lesson Jenny included which was handy for a first timer was how to cross the road, sounds strange but you will understand when you get here To finish off we had what I would call a dessert & but they call egg coffee. I would totally recommend you contact Jenny if you are coming to Hanoi especially if it's your first visit. You can contact her by WhatsApp +84 96 361 13 99 or Facebook We did this tour Oct 2025 and the cost for our 4.5hr private tour including all food and drink was 1.9m vnd that's about $55 AUD each.

Jenny was our travel agent for our 16night trip to Central and Northern Vietnam in Oct 2025 (2 adults and 2 children, 8 and 10). She arranged absolutely everything - car transfers, day tours, accommodation, overnight sleeper train, junk ship cruise. Our holiday has been totally seamless due to Jenny's arrangements. The itinerary needed to change on account of typhoon weather, which Jenny managed perfectly. We honestly couldn't be happier and we will contact her again when we next visit to see the Southern region! The food walking tour was certainly the highlight of Hanoi. She goes above and beyond, you won't be disappointed.

Simply put without Jenny (& her husband Trung) I don’t think our Vietnam trip would have been anywhere near as good, Jenny went above & beyond to arrange tours/experiences to suit us, while ensuring we experienced the real Hanoi. Jenny arranged our transfers, walking food tour, incence village tour, jeep tour, day trip to Ninh Binh & a cruise in Ha Long Bay! All of which she managed to still make happen while Hanoi experienced heavy rain & floods. On top of the tours being amazing, Jenny & Trung are absolutely lovely guides who are passionate about tourism, Hanoi & everything the country of Vietnam has to offer. I highly recommend reaching out to Jenny to help plan your Vietnam adventure ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Just returned from the most wonderful 3 weeks away, starting in Ho Chi Minh, moving on to da nang and hoi an, then Hanoi for week 3. We decided to use a local agent to help plan and arrange the itinerary and could be happier with the service from Jenny from the blog Every transfer from airport day 1 to all tours and stops arranged and paid for in advance so no worries about being scammed or paying over the odds. It was also priceless having a local contact on WhatsApp for the whole trip for last minute changes and questions answered. Wish we had stayed longer but will absolutely be back. What a fantastic country and a proud & welcoming people, but top of the list was th food 👌❤️❤️
