What To Expect

1

Eyemouth

The beautiful coastal town of Eyemouth is steeped in tragedy in its long fishing history, 189 fisherman drowned in a devastating storm in 1881, with a bronze sculpture commemorating the widows and children left behind. Two grey seals are permanent residents to the harbour, which we can feed from the harbour walls

Alnwick Castle

Featured as Hogwarts, Alnwick castle was in 'The Chamber of Secrets' and 'Philosopher's Stone'. Harry's first flying lesson with Madam Hooch was one of the most memorable scenes filmed at Alnwick. Dating back back to 1036, Alnwick Castle is one of the few castles where its owner, the Duke of Northumberland, still resides in. The castle attracts more than 600,000 visitors each year and its gardens are extensive and worth exploring.

Great tour. Joao was informative and flexible. We traveled during holidays which impacted what was open but Joao found alternative activities that were amazing - including Ad Grefin Distillery. Would 100% recommend.

The trip is well structured and in my opinion recommended for families with children because the seal part of the tour is really very nice. What can I say? Martin was a kind and professional person and tried to satisfy our every need... even though our tour was in English and therefore a little difficult for the language, we were lucky enough to find a really helpful and warm person... a beautiful tour, do it because they are wonderful places that must be visited and remembered... Valentina.

Fantastic trip! David was amazing! All of the medieval history was exactly what we wanted and David made everything perfect and precisely what we wanted it including time in Berwick, Holy Island and North Sea! He brought delicious treats and was very personable and full of knowledge. Book the tour! Worth the expense! Thank you!

Martin was the best guide! He brought lots of goodies for us to snack on and plenty of water for the long tour. The conversation was great and he was very helpful with suggestions and we had great conversation. We highly recommend this tour for anyone that wants to see a little bit of everything. Castles, the sea, the country side, sea lions! We even asked to see a highland cow on our tour and even though it wasn’t on the itenerary, he made it happen!
