We have taken food tours all around the world, and this was significantly the best, both in terms of the food we experienced and the guides.

Hands down, one of the best foodie tours I’ve been on. The tastings are incredible. The portion sizes are large. I don’t even want to say what I tasted because I want you to experience one tasty surprise after another. You will not be hungry!!

This is the first time my husband and I have been on a food tour. We are so glad we did. It was wonderful to see old Chinatown and to experience food that we’ve never had before with the exception of sushi. The fish was absolutely wonderful and the part of the country I live in we only get frozen fish for sushi. This was melt in your mouth delicious. I would highly recommend this tour to anybody who would like to see real Chinatown. The tour guides were wonderful.

Off the Beaten Path Food Tour was by far the best food tour I have ever been on. Victor did a fantastic job in sharing his favorite foods and history of the cuisine. Local Hawaiian favorites were featured - mom and pop businesses. We visited market stands to 50+ year old family run restaurants in the first ever Chinatown. Since Hawaii is a melting pot of cultures, Philippine, Chinese, Vietnamese, Hawaiian,… local foods were enjoyed. We also explored several exotic tropical fruits - delicious! The markets have some of the most beautiful and colorful scenes of vegetables, fruits, fish…stands. Almost all the ingredients are locally sourced and fresh. The locals were all friendly and greeted us with an ‘Aloha.’ It is a total immersion!

I have done food tours before but nothing like this! The Off the Beaten Path tour is by far the most culturally rich tour I’ve ever done, and definitely the most filling! Our guide, Victor, was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about all things Hawaii.. he shared a part of Honolulu with us that I know we would have never discovered on our own. The tastings were small meals- if you’re willing to try everything it’s impossible to leave hungry! Everything was fresh, and the bites were curated in good order. Thank you for an amazing part of our trip!

Love food? Don’t know where to go out to eat or wanna get away from tourist traps? I recommend taking this tour, as it helps venture you out and visit some of the local spots. I really recommend this at the start of your trip in Hawaii. If you’re into seafood and poke, this tour will show you and teach on what makes poki the best. Not only will you learn about food but you also get some history. Overall good eats, lots of food and a good time.
