Guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We got to try a bunch of unique foods we would of never experienced on our own. Area was dirty with a few homeless people asking for change. Food was so-so. But I guess that's the point in trying new things.

Victor led our tour on Friday, February 20, 2026. He was amazing. He picked us up promptly, had memorized the names of everyone in our group of 12. We had a wide range of ages (20s to 70s), primarily U.S. "mainlanders" but also a couple from Iceland. Our group was friendly across the board and Victor helped make that happen. We were impressed with both the quality and the variety of food and surprised by the quantity (we had to pass on a couple dishes because we were full). Everything about the tour was handled well. We met fun people, learned a lot about Hawaiian food, felt included, finished full and believed we received great value in this food tour!

First of all - Victor, our Gide is awesome. The quality of the food we had was good and it was so nice to taste all these new different flavors. It was also good to explore new things in other area on this beautiful island. I recommend highly this tour.

I can only rate this tour a five, but truly it deserves a 10 out of 10! Our experience with Hawaii Off the Beaten Path Food Tour was absolutely exceptional. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. Our guide Victor was amazing—so knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely wonderful to spend time with. His passion for the local culture and cuisine truly elevated the entire experience. Victor took us to authentic local spots we never would have discovered on our own. Every stop introduced us to an incredible variety of delicious cuisine, and each tasting was better than the last. The flavors, the stories behind the food, and the warm welcome from every person we encountered made this so much more than just a food tour—it was a cultural experience. We learned so much about Hawaii’s history, traditions, and community along the way. And one important tip: definitely come hungry! We had so much food that several guests were even given excess portions to take home with them By the end of the tour, you will be completely full—and completely happy. If you’re considering this tour, don’t hesitate. It was hands down one of the highlights of our trip! 🌺

Victor, the tour operator and conductor, is native Hawaiian and highly knowledgeable about island culture and cuisine. He is highly intelligent, with excellent communication skills, and is very attentive to all tour participants (quickly learning and remembering names). Victor is also very personable. And you couldn’t ask for a better selection of foods to sample in Honolulu’s Chinatown. My wife and I enjoy taking this tour each time we visit.

Victor was amazing !! Transportation was on time and efficient! The whole tour was organized. Victor had everything ready at every location. He carried wet wipes to clean hand when needed too. He was so knowledgable about all our tasting items and had such a good rapport with all venders. 10 out of 10 recommend. Food was delicious.
