Ideal for curious travelers looking for history, culture, local perspective and a more authentic connection with Guatemala.

Comfortable transportation, safe exploration, local insight and a personalized, relaxed experience through the history, culture and everyday life of Guatemala City.

Born and raised in Guatemala, I guide travelers from Europe, the United States and Latin America across the country, sharing local stories, traditions and perspectives beyond the typical tourist experience.

As someone who has worked in Alaska's salmon fishing industry and traveled extensively, I enjoy connecting travelers with the authentic side of Guatemala through real conversations, local insight and meaningful cultural experiences beyond the usual tourist route.

This tour combines history, architecture and authentic culture with the comfort of exploring the city alongside a passionate local guide. A memorable introduction to one of Central America's most unique and misunderstood capitals

What To Expect

1

Plaza Berlin

Visit El Mirador Plaza Berlin, located in the south of Guatemala City. This place is not only a resting point, but offers a view of the stunning Pacaya Volcano, one of the most active volcanoes and the water volcano if weather conditions permit. Las Americas Avenue is a key point of the city. The viewpoint has become a popular space for both tourists and residents, who are looking for a quiet place to enjoy the volcanic landscape and surrounding green areas. In addition to the view of the volcano, the square has historical value, as it houses 3 original pieces of the Berlin Wall sent by the German government, commemorating the fall of the wall, symbolizing unity and peace. Berlin Square is an ideal stop for those who want to connect with nature, reflect on history, enjoy an excellent panorama and relax outdoors. Walking tour.

Avenida De Las Americas

Enjoy Avenida Las Americas, one of the main thoroughfares of Guatemala City, opened in 1964. This avenue connects several key areas of the city and is famous for its modern design and wide circulation. On the avenue are important monuments, such as the Monument to Benito Juárez, in honor of the Mexican president, which symbolizes the friendship and solidarity between Mexico and Guatemala. Also noteworthy is the Monument to Pope John Paul II, erected to commemorate his historic visit in 1983, an event that left a deep mark on the population. The avenue, in addition to being a vital axis for circulation, houses the Civic Center, a cultural and event space, and is known for its Steps and Pedals project, which encourages sustainable mobility. Avenida Las Americas is undoubtedly a key point that unites history, modernity and culture. It is a tour of the monuments that represent friendship between the countries of the continent.

The main city market is very clean and a must see. Berlin plaza was very interesting and I enjoyed the Relief map of Guatemala. It really shows the incredibly mountainous terrain.
