What To Expect

Zambezi National Park

One of the most magical moments of your helicopter flight over Victoria Falls is when you start to ascend as you exit our helipad. The view from up above is beautiful, but you can’t help but feel a sense of awe as you start to see the falls coming closer and closer. It’s a moment that you won’t forget any time soon. The ride lasts for approximately 12-15 mins over the upper Zambezi River and the Falls itself. A 15 Min safety briefing is given before each flight. Each passenger enjoys views of the falls from their window and are able to fully capture the falls from both the left and right side as the helicopters completes its flips over the falls, Clients are also able to capture on both left and right side the beautiful stretch of the gorges. Upon completion of flight over the falls clients will enjoy a short stretch over the upper Zambezi river back to the helipad. Round trip transfer in air conditioned minivan is 15 min approx each way.

We booked our extended helicopter flight with Savannah Adventures & had a window seat guaranteed -so glad we did! We saw absolutely amazing sights! The Victoria Falls were breathtaking but seeing the unique formations of the gorge & the mighty Zambezi River below just added to our exhilarating adventure! The extended flight also flew us right over the national park where we spotted giraffes at a watering hole! My husband is not a fan of heights & was not delighted about taking a helicopter ride let alone the extended flight, but he ended up being the one spotting the many sights below & thanking Matt for offering the extended flight as one of three options!! It was well worth it!

Amazing view from the helicopter. Small heli, bubble like window, giving optimal viewing. The Falls from above are an incredible spectacle. Also seeing elephant and giraffe down below was awesome. Savannah Adventures arranged an adventure to remember, with smooth pickup and return. Would use them again.

2nd time I've done this flight. Pilot named Shame had over 25 years experience and reassured my nervous partner all the way. He was so reluctant to take the trip and said after how glad he was that he had been and how wonderful the experience was. Booked through Savannah Adventures who have a desk at the N1 hotel where we were staying. Helicopter company MJ Air picked us up from the N1 on time and offered a very professional service. If you are considering them please be reassured that you will have no regrets. I would use them time and time again. With MJ you get to fly over the Vic Falls National park where they are based on towards the falls and over the falls. We flew for around 15 min. We got to see elephants swimming in the Zambesi and Shame maneuvered the helicopter so we could get a good view. The bonus was for 30 dollars we could buy the video and photos of our trip....and they took many. Thanks all for this amazing experience. Can't wait to do it again sometime.

Very enjoyable experience, would recommend. We had an experienced pilot with more than 25 years experience so the flight was very comfortable and safe. The views over Victoria falls were incredible and when we got back we were provided with videos and photos on our devices for small fee of around $30. Thank you to MjAir and their staff for the incredible once in a lifetime opportunity!!

This was the first time I'd been in a helicopter and was nervous. The pilot (with MJAir) was very experienced and accommodated for my nervousness, making for an enjoyable experience. My only slight gripe was we were told the helicopter would be suitable for the 3 of us, when in fact it could only take 2 of us at a time. We had specifically asked for a helicopter to take all members of the party. That said, we enjoyed the flight and it was an incredible experience with some outstanding views!
