Wow. What a fun tour. We did the 6am tour and my entire family enjoyed the tour (even my 3 teenage kids!). We learned a lot about the local culture, traditions and of course, the food. It was nicely paced and very fun. Our guide Thuy was excellent. She was extremely warm and kind and made the tour extra special. Highly recommend. Hopefully you get Thuy!

This was an amazing experience from start to finish. I really enjoyed our guide Thùy; she was knowledgeable, friendly, and overall genuinely warm person. We started with coffee and then made our way to see a Cao Lầu noodle factory. The noodles are really delicious and I bought some to take home since I live in the area. This was my favorite and most memorable part of the experience because i got to see the artistry and love put it into a profession that has lasted 4 generations. The food we tasted (bánh mì, bánh xèo, bánh dessert, and coffee) were delicious and I will definitely be bringing friends and family back to these establishments. Thank you Thùy for making this a truly wonderful event, even for a solo traveler!

Xuan (Swan) was our guide and this is a tour not to miss in Hoi An! The high ratings are well deserved. I don’t want to spoil all the spots you will visit but our group (6 people, age 18 - 80) thoroughly enjoyed every minute and every dish. The history and culture of each stop was well explained and we all had different favorite dishes and memories. Swan was great at remembering our names and engaging the young and old. (She does tours only in the afternoon). Don’t hesitate to book, you won’t regret it! This was a tour that exceeded our expectations.

Swan was the best tour guide ever! She is the sweetest, smartest, and kindest guide I have ever had. She led us through many parts of the city like alleyways and taught us so many things about the history of the country and how people make the food and about them. I learned so much and ate so much as well! Thank you, Swan I am so full of food and love!!

This was one of the highlights of my time in Hoi An. My guide, Xuan, was wonderful and provided a fascinating introduction to the city’s culinary traditions. What made this tour special was the opportunity to visit local artisans, including a multi-generational bean sprout producer and a family-run workshop making Hoi An’s traditional noodles. Meeting the people behind these foods and seeing their craft firsthand felt incredibly authentic. Along the way, we explored local markets, sampled delicious specialties, and visited the rice fields. The perfect finale was enjoying Hoi An’s famous noodle dish made with the very noodles and bean sprouts we had seen produced earlier in the day. I was also grateful that the tour still ran even though I was the only participant. Excellent value, wonderful cultural insights, and a unique experience I would absolutely recommend. Five stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great tour, dramatic warning: Swan takes us through the streets and fields on the land where she grew up, looking at nature and human intelligence: sand growing bean sprouts, papaya trees separating males and females, same double-season rice as my hometown, sweet fish and eggs providing sugar to people in need, Vietnamese for "bitter melon" sounds so much like Chinese, jade raisins blooming every morning, artisans working day after day... Once one of the most important ports in Southeast Asia, Hoi An weakened as rivers silted up and Da Nang rose. Her most prosperous 16th-17th centuries were at the end of the age of great navigation, when people realized how big the world was and began to globalize in plunder, exploitation and war. But those marks of cultural intermingling remain: a bowl of high-rises, a localized version of Japanese udon noodles, with the addition of fork-burning brought about by the Lower Nanyang Chinese. We can also read the plaques in the hall and the "god" inscribed on the temple by each well, the "blessing" affixed at home. Sunday church people come and go.

This tour turned out to be one of the most genuine and unforgettable local travel experiences during our trip, and the biggest highlight of our entire journey was our incredibly warm, friendly local guide, Swan. With a sunny personality and rich local knowledge, Swan made every moment of our 3-hour tour relaxed, enjoyable and feel like home. Unlike ordinary rushed sightseeing trips, We started the trip with visiting a series of local family-owned factories. These small, family-run workshops are hidden in local residential areas and are rarely known to ordinary tourists. Under Swan’s detailed and vivid introduction, we learned about the local traditional craftsmanship, production procedures, and the stories behind these inherited family businesses. We also enjoyed a leisurely neighborhood walking to learn about the plants, also tasted local favorites ( loved Xima and the Bahn Mi). Hoi An is a historic town and local people here like Swan are friendly, warm and hardworking. Best wishes to Swan and your kids! I hope to come back soon :)
