Well done Swan, you did an excellent job in showing all the hidden gems of Old Hanoi, the food was amazing (although a bit much:) and you made me feel safe during the scooter ride. Walking through all the alleyways to experience Ha Noi with the locals was special. Thank you also for the pics taken, much appreciated by a solo traveller... and to think I almost cancelled due to the weather .

Kim was a great guide taking us to the real backstreets and local businesses in Hoi An. With her good English ( in a London accent!) enabled detailed explanations- very enjoyable.

Kim and Swan were amazing guides and the tour was well planned out. It was great to see how the traditional methods were still used for growing and preparing food. Kim and Swan both provided wonderful insights into the role food plays in Hoi An and daily life. The food we got to try on the tour was yummy, diverse and items we wouldn’t normally seek out without guidance. Thank you both for an awesome evening. 10/10 - would highly recommend.

I was lucky enough to enjoy a solo, early morning tour with the wonderful guide, Kiwi. The 3.5-hour Hoi An walking food tour was one of the absolute highlights of my trip. The route was perfectly planned — a relaxed stroll through charming side streets, visits to local homes where I learned about their produce, and time exploring the lively food market. The balance of iconic dishes and hidden local surprises was just right. Every stop, whether at a family home, a market stall, or a small restaurant, offered not only delicious flavours but also fascinating stories and cultural insights. Kiwi was warm, friendly, and an incredible source of knowledge. She made the experience fun, personal, and memorable from start to finish. I can’t recommend this tour highly enough to anyone visiting Hoi An — it’s the perfect way to discover the city’s food, culture, and local life. Tip: tour includes lots of walking so comfortable shoes is a must, along with a hat.

I’d like to commend our tourguide Miss Kim for a job well done. She’s very knowledgeable, has a good command in english, easy to be with and very accommodating. It’s like having a tour with a good friend sharing her hometown and locals way of life. My first hand experience with the locals was my favorite. I have learned some food making, history and traditions which are very relatable also to my own country. This kind of tour is unique because it strikes to your core. The price of the tour is a price match with the activities and food you’ll be experiencing. In terms of length of visit, the time alloted was adequate to cover all points to visit.

Amazing experience! We visited a factory to see how noodles and mung beans are made, explored a local market, and tasted so many delicious dishes. The food was incredible, and our guide, Quynh was knowledgeable, caring, and fun. Truly a memorable way to experience local culture — highly recommend!
