The tour covers several breathtaking places along the way. We can Easily Say that this is the highlight of your trip to Georgia. You have so much fun with charming people laughing and dancing on the way. The groups that meet here are very international; you can meet many incredible people. (For solo travelers, it is a great option!). Remember, it is a long ride, but no worry, our guides always create the mood and the atmosphere of celebration with beautiful stories about Georgia. This ride is challenging even for our safe and experienced drivers in winter. We have some tips on what you should do in the winter. First of all, be prepared for freezing weather, take everything warm you have, and get good sleep the night before. Sometimes roads are blocked, and we cannot go beyond Gudauri, but in this case, we have more time to spend at Gudauri ski resort, where you can try many activities like paragliding ATV bikes, Horse riding, etc.

The itinerary was diverse, with nature, history and culture. But most of all, we had a lot of fun and facts with Zuka!

Joined the full day group tour in January 2026 with group size of approximately 20 people. The tour guides are friendly, hospitable and knowledgeable. They blend in historical and cultural facts with humour.

I had a great experience on today’s group tour, and a big part of that was thanks to our host, Zuka. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone felt comfortable throughout the trip. You could tell he genuinely enjoys what he does, and that energy made the whole experience even better.

Although we didn't get to do the full trip until Kazbegi due to heavy snowfall, we really enjoyed this excursion. Instead of Kazbegi, we were able to visit the Chronicles of Georgia in Tbilisi with this tour. Our guide, Giorgi, is really delightful and very knowledgeable, which is exactly what we were looking for in an experience like this.

TL:DR - it’s a beautiful country. Enjoy the drive, but don’t expect to learn much about the country, people, or the sights. Based on our experience, I’m baffled by the 5-star reviews. Maybe we caught a particularly bad traffic day, maybe Zuka was off his game, and maybe my expectations for a 5-star tour in Georgia were higher than they should have been…but there was nothing exceptional about this trip. The expectation was set for a 12-hour tour, but it dragged out to 15 hours from our 08:00 arrival at the meeting point. The van kept breaking down during the drive, at one point requiring water every few kilometers. Zuka gave off an aura that he would rather be somewhere/anywhere else than on the tour. We were not treated to “the mood and the atmosphere of celebration with beautiful stories about Georgia” promised in the description. We learned a little about Georgia on the drive, but a lot about Zuka’s personal life. The scenic stops were very beautiful. The historic sites were interesting, but we had to read more about them after the tour to learn why they were important. The stop at the ski resort was weird - there was no explanation of what to do while we were there…just a guy selling overpriced snowmobile rides when we got out of the van, and there wasn’t enough time to ski. There was (rightly) little enthusiasm for the Georgian-Russian Friendship Monument. The 20 Lari per person ride (not included with the tour) to Gergeti Trinity Church was overpriced for a 10 minute ride. The wine/chacha/honey tasting was a tourist trap and a waste of time. This wasn’t the worst tour of our travels, but it’s hard to recommend it. Tips: Dress warmly and pack lots of layers. The wind is cold and unrelenting, even in early April. Bring plenty of snacks or buy some at the first stop. Lunch was good, but may not sustain you through the full trip. There is no dinner stop. Understand what you’re getting into - enjoy the ride and sights, but don’t expect a history lesson or better cultural understanding of the Georgian people.

The Caucasus Mountains are an incredibly beautiful place...the ancient churches the fortresses the ski resorts there's so much to see and do. It's especially a great adventure when you have a guide like Zuka who loves his country and loves sharing his homeland with the people who are lucky to visit this amazing land. Our driver Hercules was so efficient and was always one step ahead making sure we had a great experience. This is a phenomenal tour....

This is the best tour I took on my trip to Georgia. The guide - George was amazing. He was very friendly, really professional and knowledgeable. Our group had a lot of luck with weather and traffic which made the trip even better. I even got to ski one slope in Gudauri while on a break there. Overall, this is the experience you shouldn't miss.
