What To Expect
We're going to start this tour with the best energy. We'll pick you up at your hotel in Guatemala City and head to San Vicente Pacaya, where Pacaya Volcano is located. It's a 1-and-a-half-hour trip, so sit back and get comfortable. A real-life fantasy will be about to start. Upon arriving at San Vicente Pacaya, we'll begin our 1.5-hour hike. Make sure to keep your camera handy because you'll take never-to-forget pictures! If the weather is favorable, Acatenango, Fuego, and Agua Volcanoes will be visible.

5.00It was a wonderful trek upto.d acaya. An medium to east trek. Took 1.5 hrs to reach d top and d memorable moment was whn we cud see d pacaya volcano in front of us. It was still emitting smoke. Was thrilling. Walking on d dry lava rocks closer was a delight. Holding d guatemalan national flag was d moment. Our guide David was kind and friendly. He took us up patiently.given that we are senior citizens. Recommended stopping at shaded points.

5.00Guide (David) was amazing. Driver (Brian) very friendly and even early for pickup. Had a wonderful tour. I went alone and was given a lot of history and ecology of Pacaya during the tour. I plan to come back with my wife and book again. 10/10 would highly recommend this guide and driver.

5.00The tour was an incredible experience. You are up close to lava beds that are as recent as from 2021. The views of three volcano (2 active) are spectacular. Minor, my guide, was excellent. He was very engaged throughout the journey, had great suggestions for photos, and took beautiful ones of me with breathtaking views in the background. BTW, there are horses available to make the rather intense climb up the mountain. I strongly recommend hiring one...

5.00Our chauffeur Joel very attentive and greeted us with water and our Pacaya volcano guide Mr. Mynor, do not say! Excellent service, very attentive, gave us the history of Pacaya Volcano as did the other volcanoes. Mynor lives near the Pacaya volcano which makes him very knowledgeable about the area. He's got 16 years of experience and it definitely shows. Very friendly, respectful and definitely recommended.

5.00The hike and views were amazing. Our tour guide minor was amazing. He gave alot of history of the volcano and took us the scenic route. I would highly recommend booking with them. We got pick up at our hotel and when we arrive we got our bracelet. Once we started the hike we took breaks as needed and you have option to ride a horse instead of hiking. Once you reach the top. They have a store for drinks food and souvenirs.

Full of knowledge and interesting facts, the conversation throughout the day was second to none👍 Also, an awesome hike on Pacaya with local guide David Mynor showing us all the highlights and more, whilst setting a perfect pace 🌋 Lastly our excellent driver Miguel showed both skills and flexibility getting us around and stopping for us when needed - even if just for a lovely ice cold Gallo Chela 🐔👊 Can’t recommend this tour and people high enough 🙏
