The pictures people upload here just don't do this experience justice. Not only is the Lost City and the surrounding landscape magnificent, the people I did this with became like family, and our guides had every smallest detail planned out in terms of itinerary and logistics. Breaks were periodic but not too frequent, snacks and drinks gave the perfect boosts of energy, meals were timely and well-rounded and filling and always included something sweet at the end and some coffee or hot chocolate. And the guides were exceptionally friendly, funny, and passionate about teaching us the history and culture of the indigenous people and the farmers of the region. While there's not much wildlife, we saw some beautiful birds and tons of fascinating insects along the way (but never saw a single roach hahaha). To my guide Camacho and translator Hugo at Expotur, you were beyond exceptional, and Jesus your food was shockingly delicious consistently along our journey. A huge thank you to everyone, and I hope to see you back in Santa Marta some day soon :)

The hiking trip was amazing and the Expotur company arranged everything to make it even better. My guide was Camacho, our translator was Sofia and our cook was Jesus. The Expotur staff were amazing and elevated every aspect of the hike. I would highly recommend this trek for amateur to experienced hikers looking to see the beautiful parts of the Sierra Nevada.

Spectacular pain, the magnificent guide team, Guia Camacho and their assistants Albeiro and Luz Mary were tireless and super professional. The landscapes are breathtaking. The path is demanding from a physical point of view, but it was worth every step.

Recommended experience and helps the professionalism of Expotour. I thank the guides, especially Eli and Carlos, and the others such as Jose and the cook. Eli makes you live the experience deep inside with his explanations and his interest to know more about all the history and culture of Sierra Nevada, is an authentic guide and Carlos great travel companion, good translator of what explains Eli in English. Good team of guides and helped by José so that the large group is not unattended by any members. The road to the city is amazing and with rain it gives a wilder touch and with everything that involves getting wet. The city has in some places an energy of much peace and thanks to nature itself, some who were heard, were people with a love, peace, and enormous thanks to Mother Nature. There is nothing, only presence is required by being on site, to perceive the good energy and thank who we already are, living sentient beings. When you return to Santa Marta, you realize that you do not know what day we are, and we return to the order of the god crones, slaves of time, and welcome to the civilization of time and limiting money
