What To Expect
Lake Bovilla

Begin your tour with pickup from your accommodation and set out on a scenic drive to Lake Bovilla. Discover the patterns of life in suburban Tirana as you pass through the city on your way to the countryside. As you approach Lake Bovilla, see the lake's impressive dam. Admire the lake's shimmering teal and turquoise waters, nestled at the base of Gamti Mountain. Head up to the hiking track to begin your ascent of the mountain, soaking up the nature atmosphere.
After about 40 minutes of hiking, reach the balcony of the mountain and observe the expansive, rolling forest and hills stretching out before you. At your feet, gaze in wonder at the stunning views of Lake Bovilla. Breathe in the fresh mountain air on your cheeks in a setting of pure natural beauty. Trail details : Min Altitude : 460 m Max Altitude : 620 m Elevation: 160 m Distance up and down : 1.95 km ( 0,97 km one way) Pause to sip water and chat in the shadows of a mountain cave before descending the mountain along the same route. FREE TIME: During the tour, the guide will give you free time to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Bovilla Lake. You can use this time to have your own snacks or drinks, or choose to enjoy lunch at the restaurant there.

5.00Great trip, Lola is an excellent guide, mossieu was a very nice driver and dropped us way above that he was supposed to. Nice tour company, and a great bus. You need above average fitness for the hike and good gear as when it’s crowded, it’s quite jam packed at the top and scare as groups are going both ways in a narrow path.

5.00The hike was enjoyable and well organized. Marilena gave clear instructions, and there was plenty of time for photos, lunch, and the descent. The views from the top were amazing and definitely the highlight.

1.00This was very poorly planned and executed. Do not waste your day on this tour - you really get what you pay for. They said pick up instructions would arrive between 10-11pm (already late for many people), however I only received instructions at 11:40pm after contacting them and had to be awake to respond, since they requested a different pick up than what I selected when booking. Pick up was 30 mins late without communication to let me know (again I had to contact them), then we stopped three times within the first 30 minutes of the drive - one stop for the bathroom, one stop at a store, and another stop to change drivers when we had only just started the tour. The tour guide had trouble laying out the agenda of the day and told us we were only hiking for 30 minutes, which surprised people and was not the case. During the hike you need to stay with the entire group. We had 25 people of all ages, so that was not enjoyable. I felt so sorry for the family next to me that only had a few days in Albania and spent one of them on this incredibly disorganized tour.
