  Drive from cruise port to rainforest was 30 mins. Met hiking guide DJ there for 2 mile hike uphill, then down. He gave us extra water, juice, and a snack. Mostly easy hike but some steep sections inc 100 ft using ropes to climb. Warm and humid in February, shorts and tshirt weather. Afterwards we went to glass beach which was short hike to see smooth glass particles. We didn’t go to Romney for shopping and beverages as we’d been there before. Overall nice hike, good exercise, not much scenery though.

  Janeel was great: friendly, timely, knowledgeable, and caring. We were seniors and felt very safe throughout, especially during the challenging part. He took the time to educate us about the forest, the land, flora and fauna in a respectful and fun way. We appreciated being a small group with two guides, who provided encouragement, care and concern throughout plus water, energy drinks, and treats at the finish. Terrific communication before, during and after...Best 'what to bring' list I've ever seen!

  If you are visiting St Kitts, Janeel's tour is a must-do!!! We came with our two young children, and Janeel was so accommodating, helping us plan a private rainforest tour that would be suitable for our family. He was so thoughtful, planning activitiea we most wanted to do (monkeys) and even accommodating our special diets. He truly, truly went above and beyond for our family. We had so much fun with Janeel! He knows so much about the island, and we really enjoyed learning about the exotic native species. Janeel knows where all of the native fruit trees are at, and you will find, pick, and sample many native fruits - most of which I'd never heard of - on your hike. He was so good with our kids! He picked flowers for my daughter's hair, introduced her to wild monkeys, and held her hand over some of the rougher terrain. By the end of the trip my 4-year old said he was her new best friend, and can't wait to go back again! Thank you so much for this memorable experience. • Combined sea glass-rain forest experience

  We had an absolutely wonderful experience with JB Taxi and Excursions, led by Janeel Boon, during our family vacation in St. Kitts. Before even getting into the hike itself, I want to highlight how exceptional Janeel is as both a guide and a person. Janeel is incredibly accommodating and genuinely customer-focused. He worked with us to create a custom experience that combined a rainforest hike with a secluded sea glass beach hike—something we hadn’t seen offered elsewhere. Even more impressive, due to our itinerary constraints, the only day we could do the excursion was Sunday, which was his day off. Janeel graciously chose to work that day so our family wouldn’t miss out. That level of flexibility and thoughtfulness truly says a lot about his character. On the day of the excursion, Janeel picked us up promptly from our hotel in a comfortable, air-conditioned van. During the drive, he shared fascinating insights into the geography, history, and culture of St. Kitts, which really set the tone for the day and helped us appreciate the island on a deeper level. Our first stop was a rainforest hike, which was beautiful and immersive. Janeel was knowledgeable, patient, and attentive throughout, making sure the pace worked well for our family. We saw beautiful vegetation and trees within the rainforest. We were able to even eat natural almonds that had fallen to the floor. We also saw several streams and small waterfalls. Afterward, we headed to a secluded sea glass beach, which felt like a hidden gem—peaceful, uncrowded, and absolutely stunning. The hike was challenging especially for kids. But it is worth it. My kids had a blast collecting lots of pieces of unique sea glass. Janeel was particularly helpful guiding us through the hike and helping us find unique pieces of sea glass.It was such a unique experience and a highlight of our trip. This excursion felt personal, unhurried, and thoughtfully planned from start to finish. If you’re looking for more than a standard tour—and want an experience that feels authentic, flexible, and family-friendly—I can’t recommend JB Taxi and Excursions and Janeel Boon highly enough. We would absolutely book with him again on a future trip to St. Kitts

  We were picked up on time at the agreed location. In advance, we got all the necessary information we needed. The trip was exactly what we imagined - the guide was super nice! Highly recommended!

  JB Taxi & Excursions was fabulous for our Wingfield Rainforest & Romney experience. Janeel provided the best level of patience and assistance for our group of hikers with varied levels of experience, comfort and ability. Their Hyundai van appeared to have just rolled out of the showroom and had super A/C. They checked every box including preparation, refreshments and facilities for cleaning up after the hike.

  My hike at Wingfield Estate was truly amazing. Mr. Boon’s commentary along the way was incredibly detailed and engaging. He made sure to focus on both the rich history and the unique geography of the area, giving me a deeper understanding and appreciation of the stunning landscape. What really stood out was how he went above and beyond, dropping random yet fascinating facts about the island of St. Kitts throughout the tour. His passion and knowledge made the entire experience both educational and memorable. Highly recommended!

  

  

• Wingfield Rainforest and Romney Experience

  We absolutely loved the hike into the rainforest with Janeel and Sunshine! Janeel was quick to respond when we booked and made sure we came prepared, even picked us up where we were staying with no problems. Janeel had an awesome personality and was full of knowledge. We enjoyed listening to all the stories and history of the island and forest. The hike was amazing. We even chose to go to the top to the lookout where the view was breathtaking . After the hike we freshened up and drove to the Romney House where we watched a demonstration on the process of Batik and toured the shop where they had such beautiful fabrics and gifts. We were able to walk through the gardens and even saw the 400 year old tree. I especially loved that all of these things were in one scheduled trip! I highly recommend this excursion with Janeel and Sunshine, what a great day!
