This day will be a mixture of hiking and getting to know more about Brasov while we are on the move.
It’s not a standard cultural tour, or just a plain hiking tour. It will be a great, active day and you will enjoy it.
Beautiful forests, nice views from the top of Tampa mountain, a great walk along the old city.
Upon request we can take the lunch at a local restaurant (the meal is not included in the price of the trip).
Easy 2 – 3 hours trail, 600-700 m elevation height, on wide paths with no exposure or dangerous cliffs. This trip is suitable for families and any other groups of people that can walk slowly on various terrain structures for about 2 -3 hours
Mandatory gear:
Light hiking shoes, clothes that suit the outside weather and a rain coat.

What To Expect
Start the day by hiking Tampa Mountain. A natural protected area, this easy hike is very rewarding for every hiker allowing a glimpse into the amazing wildlife of the Carpathians. The top of the mountain offers spectacular views of the old city and allows you to capture a bird’s-eye view of the city you will explore next. Our tips: Easy 2 – 3 hours trail, 600-700 m elevation height, on wide paths with no exposure or dangerous cliffs. This trip is suitable for families and any other groups of people that can walk slowly on various terrain structures for about 2 -3 hours.
Brasov Historical Center
After lunch we take a tour of the biggest city in Barsa Land, Brasov has a long history that goes back to the 1200. With its amazingly preserved historic district, Brasov is a national landmark and an important stop on the way to explore Transylvania. One of the seven Saxon cities of Transylvania, Brasov became quickly an important trade and manufacturing center in the middle ages and grew to become one the most important political and religious center of the land. Explore the medieval fortifications and enjoy the vibrant life of the citadel.

5.00We are always looking for dynamic tours that combine the city with nature. The tour began with a light hike of about 3 hours in the Tampa nature reservation, which is located right next to the old city of Brasov. We enjoyed the fresh air and the landscapes from the top where you could admire all of Brasov. The ascent and descent were made on less walked paths (there are several access paths to the top), so we could enjoy the peace and we avoided the crowded parts. Ramona, our guide, was very friendly and entertaining, she told us many beautiful things about Brasov and Romania. In the second part of the day we visited the old city of Brasov and listened to the history of the places while we were on the move. We really liked the place where Ramona recommended us to eat ice cream (ask her, it's worth it) and the flexibility offered by the tour, you can chose to visit different attractions depending of what you like, or just go with her recommendation. Thank you very much and we will definitely be back for another experience!

5.00This was our first trip to Romania, as we wanted to try out something new. We knew we needed a professional local guide, and finally chose Day Trips Brasov, as they seemed very helpful and had answered all our questions patiently. The journey was exactly as expected, with lots of time to enjoy the views and landscapes. We're actually very happy we weren't rushed from one place to another. We came back more relaxed and happy and are definitely thinking of coming back and trying some of the other trips as well
