I just completed an incredible hike at Daan Viljoen Park with Shaka as our guide, and I'm still beaming with joy! 😊 Shaka is an very experienced and exceptional guide - not only is he knowledgeable, but he's also incredibly friendly and made our early morning start a breeze. The day began with a pleasant pickup, accompanied by great music, and Shaka's warm welcome set the tone for an amazing adventure. He shared fascinating insights about Windhoek and its surroundings during the drive, making the journey just as enjoyable as the hike itself. The hike in the national park was breathtaking - Shaka chose a fantastic route that allowed us to soak in the stunning views at our own pace. We reached a viewpoint with a stunning panorama view of Windhoek, it was simply breathtaking! We had time to appreciate the scenery, eat a snack and drink water we got from Shaka before the tour started. Shaka‘s attention to our needs was impressive, he asked if we like to have a break, make a picture or have to be aware of the trail which was coming up. The conversations flowed effortlessly, making the hike fly by. Shaka's sense of humor and positive vibes made us laughing throughout, and his stories about life in Windhoek gave us a genuine feel for the city. If you're looking for a guide who'll make your hiking experience unforgettable, look no further than Shaka! I‘m sure his other day trips or multi-day tours would be just as amazing, if not more so. Kind regards, Marie

Beautiful sunrise photos from the top of the mountain. No animal sightings, but interesting discussions with Shaka about Namibian life.

Very beautiful hike at sunrise. Many animals such as gnus, springbok, zebras and giraffes could be observed. We were also able to observe various birds and barboons.

The tour with Shaka was really amazing! He was a nice and accommodating guide we had a lot of fun with. We saw more animals than we expected: Giraffes, Zebras, Oryx, Worthog, wild beasts, Ilend impala and baboons. We can totally recommend it and would do it again! Thank you for the nice trip to the whole chameleon safari team!!!

We really enjoyed our time exploring the Daan Viljoen Park in Windhoek. Our guide, Simon, was very informative & did an amazing job showing us around and explaining the history behind the different landmarks. We could see a lot of animals at liberty. Thanks for a fun tour!

I wanted to do something different from the usual game drives, and this certainly was. The hike was a bit strenuous at times, especially the first half which has some steep rises and later on when it is hotter. However, not an unpleasant walk if you are reasonably fit. It is quite hard to see the wildlife though as they can be well camouflaged and, because you are on foot, they hear you before you can get too close. Be very quick with your camera! As a result, much of the wildlife we saw was quite far away or was there but had run off. It is a beautiful setting for a hike though. I had Raymond as a guide and he was both knowledgeable and considerate and I felt safe with him all morning.
