  • Three Solo Repels of 30-40 Meters Each

    Culdee90,May 24, 2026

    - Review from Tripadvisor

    5.00

Fantastic experience. But this should NOT be your first time to repel. Tour was lead by Lyli. She was very professional and safety conscious (as well as officially certified for leading high adventure activities). This is not a “tennis shoe” hike (though I did wear tennis shoes and was fine). It’s steep hiking with patches of loose rock all the way to the first scenic point (“the window”), a very beautiful viewpoint where most casual hikers stop and go back. However to get to the Eagle’s Nest cave is next-tier. Guide leads further up along sheer cliff faces while clipped into a cable with a carabiner (in the US you’d probably be required to use TWO carabiners so you’re always clipped in at all times even when transferring your carabiner around the cable bolts. But here you just get one so don’t loose your balance while transferring). Your first repel is 30-40 meters or so down a sheer cliff face, with the last 10 meters you’re free hanging as you literally descend into the backside opening of the Eagle’s Nest cave. There is no other way in. You have to be comfortable solo repelling over cliff faces. It’s not hard but takes courage if you’re not used to this. After eating your lunch in Eagle’s Nest, you repel out the front (opposite) side of the cave you repelled down into. Another sheer drop. Then you scramble down a steep trail a little ways for your third and final repel, which is more of a 75-degree repel with large “steps” of verticality. This is the most “technical” repel. After this you connect with the original trail you came up with slide down the mountain on loose rock patches. Hiking Difficulty: 5/5 due to repelling Mountaineering Difficulty: 1/5

I have a fear of heights, but still did the Eagles Nest hike and rappelling, and it was NOT easy, but one of the BEST experiences in my life. Lylia and Miguel were incredible guides through out the day. They helped guide me thru the tougher climbing and repelling sections and we went at a good pace. I can't recommend them snd this tour enough if you're in Monterrey. An absolute must-do!

  • Hike from Santiago to SANTIAGO

Participate in the Santiago to Santiago walk, which was started by friends, guided by Lily, from Santiago dd Saltillo Cathedral. I joined the group on the fifth day, in Potrero de Abrego and from there we walked for another 4 days until we reached Santiago. Fabulous and strenuous trekking throughout the mountains, climbing and descending mountains, enjoying the bushy forest, the cool and starry nights, the reddish sunrises, the awakening of spring. Lily's leadership, enthusiasm and laughter pulled the whole ball.

  • 10/10 Highly Recommended - Birthday Adventure + AMAZING CONTENT

Absolutely worth every penny, I traveled all the way from Florida for this and would do it again in a heart beat! I did the Hiking, Climbing, and Rappelling in the Eaglets Nest tour as part of my birthday trip, and it ended up being one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. The guides were incredibly professional and knowledgeable, and they made me feel safe and secure throughout the entire adventure. The views were breathtaking—truly once-in-a-lifetime, priceless scenery you can't fully capture in photos, although they did get some of the best pictures and videos of me enjoying my experience! A huge shoutout to Lya and Leo, who were the best tour guides a girl could ask for; even though I was on the hike alone, they made me feel like family. They also pick you up from wherever you're staying for a reasonable extra fee which was worth it for the convenience, which was a major plus because I was staying pretty far. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an epic, safe, and meaningful adventure!

The greatest tour with the best guides I’ve probably ever had. They were so friendly, yet professional. They made the tour so fun, but also so safe. They made sure we had a great time as well. We tried one other company in Monterrey, but nothing came close to Lyli.
