We had a great hike with Mario. He led a good pace up the mountain, not too slow or fast. He is very passionate about nature and leading hikes. Highly recommend!

Carlos is a great and humorous guide. We had a fun time exploring the volcanos and he gave us some background knowledge about the area, history and nature.

Great tour with Carlos! He met us the night before to review plans and discuss the route and equipment. I enjoyed meeting him ahead of time and hanging out at the hostel, which is in a great and beautiful neighborhood of Puebla. Speed was great, information helpful and great snacks too! I felt safe the entire time.

A breathtaking hike with sincerely friendly guides and perfect organization. For 2000$ pesos everything is provided for you (including equipment). I was at the Casa Pepe hostel when I booked and it all went very smoothly until the day of the activity. I strongly advise their services for all sorters of hikers looking for something easy to do.

Having completed the La Malinche one day hike with Mario this week and thoroughly enjoyed the experience I find myself motivated to leave a review, something I’m rarely inclined to do! Mario was a great guide, spoke very good English and went out of his way to ensuring our safety and comfort throughout the hike. He provided instruction as to what to expect on the walk, all necessary equipment where needed, travel to and from the trailhead, food, snacks, entry permits and a very genuine and affable disposition, making his company and the walk an absolute joy! I highly recommend ‘Hiking Puebla’ and would book them again ‘at the drop of a hat’ were I to return to Popo Itza National Park.

Incredible experience with Mario on the "Volcanos Activos" Tour in the Iztaccíhuatl-Popocatepetl Park. The conditions were perfect for a hike and Mario was a great guide: dynamic, warm, attentive, organized and pedagogue. The icing on the cake, homemade lunch overlooking the Popo. We thank Hiking Puebla for this fabulous time and warmly recommend them!

Hiking was a phenomenal experience. I did it with two friends, our guide and a person we never met before. But it was a good hiking group. Our guide Mario was very friendly, explained a lot about nature and Vulcans and cared that everyone was fine during the activity. We really liked hiking although it was bad weather in the mountain. In the end we had a good view of the Vulcan Popocatepetl and that was wonderful.
