During this PRIVAT hiking tour I will guide you through a breathtaking canyon with spectacular views and then relax in the incredibly beautiful hot springs. The baths are of Muslim origin and date back to the 10th century whose water maintains a temperature of 25 degrees all year round.

What To Expect
We leave Valencia from our meeting point and head towards Montanejos. The route begins with the ascent from Montanejos to the top of the canyon formed by the Maimona ravine, we walk along its huge rock walls and watching an impressive landscape. Later we begin the descent to cross the river Maimona. Here we stop for lunch and enjoy the scenery and mountain water. Then we start the ascent to the other side of the ravine that again offers beautiful views over the river Maimona until crossing a dense pine forest down to the village near the Fuentes de los Baños where the bravest can bathe in the river Mijares!

5.00Recommend that you should be a seasoned hiker. Not for beginners. There were several ways our tour guide could have picked and he chose the easier way for us, but it was still challenging. The scenery was gorgeous! Our tour guide Jan was wonderful. Would recommend.

5.00Fabulous excursion for these hot days, Jan has been a very nice guide that makes you feel like family, I thought it would be a route without more, but the end of this is the perfect closure with a bath in the hot springs in Montanejos. Definitely a highly recommended excursion 👌

5.00It has been an enjoyable excursion!! The place is idyllic and swimming in these waters has been wonderful. It is very relaxing to bathe looking at all the surrounding environment. The excursion is perfect to enjoy a different day and in good company. Jan is a real guide and was always very attentive to the teenagers who were with us. We would repeat the experience!!

5.00This was a memorable trip and a highlight of our visit to Valencia. Jan picked us up at our hotel and we travelled to Montanejos where we started the 4 hour hike. The views were amazing and Jan was a great leader . We swam at the thermal springs before our return to Valencia. It also provided a an opportunity to see the countryside in Valencia

5.00Great experience! Jan brought us through the amazing canyon of Montanejos. That place is unique, I totally recommend the experience. We went then to swim in las aguas termales with the clearest blue water I’ve seen in my life
