The Tamarind Falls, also called the 7 cascades, is an enjoyable hike in the heart of the island. Our 3 hours guided hike is a highlight of the best waterfalls on the spot.
Surrounded by lush green forests and dark volcanic rocks, we progress on single tracks and open areas offering astonishing views upon the falls and the canyons.
During the walk, we have the possibility to enjoy a nice swim in the natural pool that water has carved in the rock, and appreciate a natural massage under the cascades.
Please note that this is not a flat hike; it involves traversing varied terrain with both ascents and descents over rocky surfaces and steep sections with roots. You may encounter challenging and technical parts along the trail. In some instances, you may need to rely on your hands for support, using branches or tree roots to navigate through these sections.

We booked the half-day guided tour with Yudish and honestly… 10/10, would absolutely do it again. Yudish is the kind of guy you feel like you’ve known for years after five minutes. Super easy to talk to, always joking around, and somehow knows basically everything about the island – plants, trees, random nature facts… you name it. We’re pretty sure if you pointed at a leaf, he could give you its full biography. The hike to Tamarin Falls was amazing – beautiful views, great vibes, and the swim at the falls was the perfect reward. It didn’t feel like a “tour” at all – more like exploring the island with a very knowledgeable (and very funny) guy.

We did the full day hike of Tamarin falls with our guide Paj. We had an amazing time and Paj was a great guide. Definitely recommend the full day hike which was challenging but so worth it as we were able to swim in some of the more secluded waterfalls all on our own! An unforgettable experience

After an incredible day! Change of scenery guaranteed! Thanks to our guide Theo who had patience and motivated us and helped us to climb back up the slope! A real professionalism ... on the other hand to advise against without guide! Thanks again 🙏🏻

Gilles guided us along Tamarind Falls, telling us lots about nature, animals, the country, and its people. It was a very nice tour and we felt very well looked after.

I spent three wonderful hours with Gilles, our guide. We were a group of 7 and Gilles took the time to introduce us to this beautiful nature. He also took care not to hurry us to every point and we were really able to enjoy every spot. The walking parts between the waterfalls are a bit physical but really immersive in nature. And swimming at the end, what a treat! A three hour hike very well organized and really exotic. I recommend 100%. Thank you!

We had a brilliant walk seeing the flora and fauna of Mauritius at its best. The seven waterfalls walk was great. What made it so special was the experienced guide. Gilles really made the difference. He helped my wife, who was not confident about parts of the walk, through some of the challenging parts patiently and with kindness.

This was a wonderful experience. We got to not only experience the wonderful views and lush surroundings, but also within a 3-hour trip we got to experience light rain and then beautiful blue skies. We were lucky it had rained a bit the previous few days as there was plenty of water to make the waterfalls dramatic enough. We also got to swim in the pools which was another pleasant aspect of it. Our guide, Henri, was accommodating, knowledgeable and patient with us all.
