Kruja is a historical city symbol of the Albanian resistance against the expansion of the Ottoman Empire during the XV-th century. Kruja is situated in central Albania on a rocky mountainous terrain about 560 meters above sea level, on the slopes of Kruja Mountain.
The Old Bazaar: Walking through the narrow streets and the wooden houses of Kruja’s Medieval Old Bazaar (one of the biggest and oldest in the Balkans) gives you a sense of a passage through history. This is the best place to shop for souvenirs in Albania, from typical to more unique and handmade souvenirs such as carpets, jewelry, etc.

5.00Very well organized. Smaller operation so it was very tailored to the people on the tour. My group was a little slower than me and they were unable to hike luckily they all waited while I did the hike. They're smart to go early to beat the other groups

5.00The pick up was at Flora Cafe and on time. Tour guide was very friendly and he does this tour daily. On the way he tells history of Albania. At Bovilla lake You'll face a 25 minute hike up in a hill with fantastic views! Hike isn' t hard. After hike there is a chance to grab a cold drink at the bar on hill and relax and enjoy view. If You hadn't time to try famous Albanian drink of raki, then no worries, after Bovilla lake, at Kruja, you'll have a chance to try traditional Albanian cuisine with recomendations at really good restaurant, and raki was great there. View from restaurant is also fantastic!

5.00I had such a great experience! Gjenc was an excellent tour guide and driver. He answered all my questions about Albanian culture and the places we visited. Bovilla Lake and the surrounding mountains were stunning, and Kruja is a beautiful town well worth visiting.

5.00Our guide Gjenc was extremely kind, knowledgeable and helpful. He was a careful driver. The tour was well paced and I did not feel rushed. The toilets en route were clean as well! We had an excellent lunch with great views.

5.00Great trip with suitable timing at all destinations. Our guide Gjenc was knowledgeable and taught us about the history of Albania along the way. He also adapted the tour according to the age/state of the participants without it going beyond the rest. A trip that is probably worth the money!

3.00Nice, but the title is misleading, don't expect a hike. Authoritative and sometimes brutal attitude of the guide. Break in an excellent restaurant on the other hand and very nice view in Bovilla.

4.00Despite a rocky start where road works contributed to an extra hour to our journey our guide Monde kept his cool and his fun character shone through. The tour itself is a good one, doing pretty much what it says in the sales pitch. Lake Bobilla is stunning and Kruja has great vies and atmosphere. Nice meal in the castle and added enjoyment. My only small criticism is that it was a little cramped in the transport but overall the tour and its guide outshone this blip. Thanks Monde we really enjoyed it. Tim & Jenny ps we did get an added hour at the end to cover the delay 👍
