5.00Toured Miyajima and Peace Memorial Park and Museum with our guide, Eri. Having a guide with us was extremely helpful so we could get from place to place, navigate trains, speed boat, and taxi transport to various locations. Eri was knowledgeable and shared stories and personal accounts of the atomic bomb effects with us. She taught us about the customs and traditions of Itsukushima shrine and guided us to a local favorite okonomiyaki restaurant for lunch. This was a highlight of our Japan trip! Eri also knew which spots are the best for photos.

5.00This was a well thought out and planned tour. Joe and his company got in touch a week before to ask if there were any specific places we’d like to go and then went out of his way to plan for what we’d asked.we learnt lots and saw some beautiful and interesting sites in Hiroshima/miyojima.

5.00What an excellent tour! About a weekend before we even went, we were introduced to our tour guide and asked if there was anything specific we would like. Joe made every effort to accommodate our request and came with us to the top of Mt Misen! There was no rushing, we got great explanations of where we went and the places we ate were great recommendations. This was exactly what we wanted for our limited time in Hiroshima and can’t recommend Joe or the tour highly enough!

5.00This was one of the best tours we’ve taken, mostly due to our tour guide Joe (Masahiko Joguchi). We were allowed to customize the tour and modify the starting time, due to some last minute interferences. He had lost his sister in the blast and had some heartfelt experiences to relay. We had visited the Peace Memorial the day before, so we went to Miyajima Island and had a wonderful afternoon exploring the island. He took us to a nice, cozy restaurant away from the crowds, where we had the best seafood… the oysters were delicious! He knew all the line and walking shortcuts and made the island experience very personal for us. He gave us an origami crane at the end, which really touched us, as we realized the connection with his sister and what the crane symbolized. Then he walked us back to our hotel in the end. Joe was such a nice, knowledgeable and accommodating tour guide. We had a wonderful day seeing Hiroshima areas through his eyes.

5.00We had such a wonderful day with our tour guide Joe, who customized this tour for us and was able to accommodate some changes we needed to make at the last minute, to the meeting time. The Peace Memorial visit was so very emotional as his sister was one of the children killed in the blast and later he lost one of his parents as a derivative of the fallout from this horrific crime. He does these tours to help educate the world on nuclear warfare and how never should we use it against others. And he has first hand experience with traumas families went through, even decades later. We also went to Miyajima Island and got to explore the island and have a wonderful lunch in a nice cozy spot. Was one of my best days in Japan.

5.00Our tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly and outgoing. Gave us the best recommendations for our stay in Hiroshima. We got to experience a lovely oyster restaurant which was delicious, then he gave us a Momiji manju. He's also a great photographer and took beautiful pictures of us!
