  Let’s start with the negatives, we did not get our tickets until 12hours before the bullet train, but that was the only bad thing. Jorge our guide was absolutely amazing, insightful, intelligent and personable. The information he provided for both sites plus life as a Japanese man was very useful, he gave history and then stories on how that history was forged, Ok and for the trip, Miyajima And the floating Tori gate was great, The shrines and temples, and the food all great. Hiroshima and peace park, Jorge had so much historical knowledge and really opened my eyes, Overall for anyone who is interested In Hiroshima book this tour but ask for Jorge.

  Very long day and lots of walking but a perfect blend of information and free time. Alex was wonderful and so informative about the different places including best restaurants and tourist stuff. Gave good suggestions and gave us the right amount of free time with suggestions of things to do.

  I would not recommend this tour or Amigo tours for the people who request English speaking guide as I thought majority of the history- instructions and other small talks were in Spanish. I booked tour with English speaking guide and our guide was explaining in English as well but majority of explaining was in Spanish FIRST as English was used as 2nd language - explanations were very short in English (min or two long only) compared to Spanish. Another drawback of the tour was - even though peace memorial museum admission was not included which we knew and there are long lines to purchase the tickets, separate long lines to go inside the museum. Tickets were sold out by the time we found out and we reached at the museum. I wish we were told in advance about tickets sells out and you can’t get it if you are going in a tour as you have limited time at the site. We are coming as a visitor and will not come back at this site again- I wish we had better experience after spending so much money. Our tour guide Alex tried his best to explain things in English but I wish the guided tour was in English as a primary language instead of Spanish.

  This was by far the most informative tour my Husband and I have been on yet. If you’re a person who appreciates history and cultural I would recommend booking this tour. Our tour guide Cesar was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Japan and you can tell he enjoys it. There was so much passion in his words we felt every lesson. The bus we drove on was so big and cozy. The bus driver Oe-San so very friendly and professional. My only recommendation would be to spend more time at Hiroshima and maybe add the castle on the trip. Other than that we have no complaints. If you’re looking for a great tour whose tour guide is patient, funny, knowledgeable and is accommodating to everyone’s walking limitations. Then book with Amigo tours and make sure you get Cesar as your guide.

  Unfortunately at the last minute we were advised that a digital ticket was unavailable for our Bullet Train departure meaning we had the added stress of meeting a representative in front of a random cafe at the Shin-Osaka station prior to departure. We felt that there was a significant imbalance in the scheduling of activities on the day. For reasons unknown we spent 4hrs on Miyajima Island which was seemed excessive and only left 1hr 20mins at the Museum in Hiroshima. Complete waste of time as every other tour company was there at the same time. After lining up to purchase tickets we were then crammed in with hundreds of others leaving us unable to move about freely and unable to see any of the exhibits. So disappointing! Had we known this would be the timing breakdown we would not have undertaken this tour. Whilst the guide was friendly, unfortunately he wasn’t overly informative.

• Day Trip to Miyajima Island & Hiroshima

  My wife's and I recent trip to Miyajima Island & Hiroshima was very educational and humbling. While in Miyajima we were able to see the iconic Itsukushima Shrine with its floating torii gate. While walking through the Island we were able to experience all sorts of local foods and some fresh oysters. The deer roaming around freely added another level of enjoyment to our experience. Next we visted Hiroshima which include visiting Peace Memorial Park & Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum. This tour was very humbling for me as well as eye opening as I really never knew the lasting affect of that Atomic
