This value-packed trip with a licensed and experienced English-speaking tour guide is a fantastic and efficient way to explore both Hiroshima and Miyajima!
To start your day, meet your tour guide at your hotel, then visit famous sites such as Miyajima, Itsukushima Shrine, Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, Shukkeien Japanese garden, and Hiroshima Castle. Your guide will customize your private tour in detail according to your interests.
Eight-hours is the perfect amount of time to check out both Hiroshima and Miyajima island. We strongly suggest visiting both places when you come to this part of Japan.
24 Pass for Ferry and streetcar transportation is 900 Yen for adults, 450 yen for children.

Please note that the duration of this tour has been changed from 7 hours to 8 hours, effective November 6th, 2024. If your reservation was made before November 6th, 2024, your tour will still be 7 hours and you will be charged for the 7 hour tour only. Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum
Hiroshima's Peace Memorial Park (平和記念公園, Heiwa Kinen Kōen) is one of the most prominent features of the city. Even visitors not looking for it will likely stumble upon the large park of over 120,000 square meters. Its trees, lawns, and walking paths are in stark contrast to the surrounding downtown area. Before the bomb, the area of what is now the Peace Park was the political and commercial heart of the city. For this reason, it was chosen as the pilot's target. Four years to the day after the bomb was dropped, it was decided that the area would not be redeveloped but instead devoted to peace memorial facilities. Admission Fee: ¥200

5.00We had an amazing tour today with our guide Sei. He took us through Miyajima and Hiroshima peace park with patience, knowledge and understanding. He spoke clearly and eloquently about historical and difficult topics while also being kind and helpful to our young children. He promptly learned our names and details about us and catered the tour to us. 10/10. Highly recommend this tour and him as a guide.

5.00Hiroshi was fantastic. He lives on Mirajima Island and gave us great insights to the people, history, culture and of course the landmarks especially the Cherry Blossoms from the Padoga.. It was line he was the unofficial Mayor of the island - he knew everyone. He arranged everything and emailed us before the tour to get our wants and needs. He arranged a short calligraphy demonstration - which was fun as well as booking a great local restaurant for lunch. He left nothing to plan from the right train from the city to the port, arranged best viewing area on the ferry and booked the high speed ferry from the island to the Peace Memorial Park bypassing a 30 minute train trip. The Atomic Bomb Memorial Park and Museum was unforgettable. Again Hiroshi provided great insights as to why Hiroshima was targeted, the impact at the time and for generations post the bombing. He also showed us many lessor landmarks that a tourist would not normally see as well as providing us with information from his relatives who lived through the bombing. I could not rate Hiroshi any higher and strongly recommend this tour when in Hiroshima

I was initially worried about our ambitious itinerary for the day, but with Hiro’s excellent organization, everything went off without a hitch. Why we loved our day with Hiro: * Communication: She was punctual, extremely organized, and messaged us often. She is incredibly easy to communicate with and thoughtful in her planning. She picked us up at the train and it was seamless from start to finish. * Above & Beyond Care: What truly set Hiro apart was her genuine care for our family. At the Hiroshima Memorial, some of the imagery was a bit much for our daughter; Hiro noticed immediately and acted quickly to bring her ahead and comfort her. * Stress-Free Logistics: She handled everything! She reserved both lunch and dinner for us and provided excellent local recommendations. She made sure the entire day was absolutely stress-free for our large group. If you are looking for a seamless, meaningful, and well-managed experience in Hiroshima, Hiro is the best. We are so grateful for such a memorable day!

5.00We could not have asked for a better guide than Yuji-san. He has so much knowledge about Hiroshima and Miyajima and was able to answer any and all questions that we had. From efficiently guiding us through trains, ferries, and buses, we were able to experience so much of both Japan's beauty and culture through him. Visiting Hiroshima and Miyajima would not have been the same without him. Highly recommend and when we are in Hiroshima again, I would not hesitate to take this same tour with Yuji-san. Doumo arigatou gozaimashita!

4.00Our guide Mai was absolutely fantastic. It was so nice to spend the day with a local who was very knowledgeable of the area and the history. Overall the tour was quite good however in hindsight I probably would have skipped Mayajima and spent more time in the Hiroshima Museum. The tour was rather expensive and didn't include any admission fees or transfer fees which really should have been included given the high overall cost.

5.00We had a fantastic day with Minori as our guide. She was knowledgeable, organized, and made everything feel easy and enjoyable from start to finish. One of the highlights was helping our son choose a traditional sword—such a unique experience, and Minori guided us through it seamlessly. She also connected really well with our daughter, which made the day even more special for our family. Everything was well-paced, and we appreciated how smooth the entire day felt. It was a great way to experience the area and learn more about Japanese culture. Highly recommend booking a tour with Minori—we’re very glad we did.
