Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum
Hiroshima's Peace Memorial Park (平和記念公園, Heiwa Kinen Kōen) is one of the most prominent features of the city. Even visitors not looking for it will likely stumble upon the large park of over 120,000 square meters. Its trees, lawns, and walking paths are in stark contrast to the surrounding downtown area. Before the bomb, the area of what is now the Peace Park was the political and commercial heart of the city. For this reason, it was chosen as the pilot's target. Four years to the day after the bomb was dropped, it was decided that the area would not be redeveloped but instead devoted to peace memorial facilities. Admission Fee: ¥200

Yuji was a very knowledgeable and flexible tour guide. He adapted our day based on weather, peak tourist travel, our availability, and our priorities. We learned a great deal about Japanese culture, history, and beliefs. Yuji was very conscious of our safety, comfort, and energy level. He let us select our lunch venue, and he also led us on side tours so we could buy specific items. We would recommend this tour.

Amazing experience! The guide was very amiable and took us to a lot of different places! She was extremely helpful with any request and questions we had, besides also knowing a lot about the history of all the places we visited, so the tour was very informative!

We had a great day with our great tourguide Yuji. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the places we visited. Yuji had prepared booklets where we could read about the places we would visit but also about Japanese culture and traditions. So we learned s lot! Yuji played the flute when we strolled on a beutiful nature path. Loved it! He took us to a lovely restaurant with okonomiyaki. So delicious! It was extremely crowded and difficult to take in everything at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum but that wasn't Yuji's fault. He tried hard to give us the best experiences and we loved it We had a great day in his company and learned a lot! We also had great laughs together! We highly recommend this tour!

Absolutely amazing tour! Sei our tour guide was SO knowledgeable, he also knew all the places to stand on the ferry and had our timetable precisely on track. Sei always counted that we all 6 of us were right near him which made us feel that we were in safe hands. The whole day tour was faultless and so interesting! You are on the go the whole time so you can pack all the tour in. Thankyou Sei for an unforgettable experience, you are a true gentleman!!!!

We had a truly memorable experience visiting Miyajima Island with our guide, Kenji. The weather was perfect and the cherry blossoms were in full bloom; it was very crowded, but everything about the island was so stunning that we barely noticed. Kenji was knowledgeable about the history of the island and surrounding areas; we would not have been able to know nearly as much about what we were seeing without him. I had even mentioned to him that my great-grandparents had emigrated to the US from a town nearby and he researched its history and took us for a short visit so that we could see the place where some of my ancestors had lived. A really wonderful and special trip that we will remember for a long time to come.

Kazuhisa To San was very helpful and polite. He made extra effort in showing us around in Hiroshima and he made reservations one day in advance at a popular local restaurant for us. His wife even made paper cranes for us. His service is highly recommended.

Yuki was a wonderful guide in Hiroshima. She is a local from the area with a ton of great knowledge. We did a private tour with our 3 young children, and she was so kind with them. She also tailored the tour to the kids to have good stops for food, restrooms and the right transportation. We enjoyed a full day tour of Hiroshima and Miyajima island. I highly recommend a tour with Yuki for your family.

Harry was a great guide . He scheduled us go first to the Hiroshima memorial peace museum before the crowds arrived. We went straight in and it wasn't crowded. By the time we finished, the line to to get in stretched around the building. We ate close-by and shopped at a mall. Although we planned to to take a ferry to a shrine, we instead headed to Hiroshima Costco where I bought electronics and my wife bought skincare products. This was the advantage of a private tour, there was flexibility in our itinerary as we saw fit. The van took us four and 2 wheelchairs. Overall a great experience.
