Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum
Hiroshima's Peace Memorial Park (平和記念公園, Heiwa Kinen Kōen) is one of the most prominent features of the city. Even visitors not looking for it will likely stumble upon the large park of over 120,000 square meters. Its trees, lawns, and walking paths are in stark contrast to the surrounding downtown area. Before the bomb, the area of what is now the Peace Park was the political and commercial heart of the city. For this reason, it was chosen as the pilot's target. Four years to the day after the bomb was dropped, it was decided that the area would not be redeveloped but instead devoted to peace memorial facilities. Admission Fee: ¥200

Our full‑day tour of Hiroshima and Miyajima was unforgettable, thanks to our amazing guide, Yoshiko Horimasu. She is not only fluent in English but also incredibly knowledgeable, thoughtful, and engaging. As a local, Yoshiko brought the history of Hiroshima to life with compassion and clarity, giving context that was both moving and easy to understand. On Miyajima, she showed us the island’s hidden corners, artisan crafts, shared local stories, picked an amazing restaurant for lunch and made the entire experience feel personal and special. The day was perfectly paced, beautifully organized, and filled with insights we never would’ve discovered on our own. Yoshiko made the tour feel less like sightseeing and more like exploring with a friend who truly loves her city. Highly recommend this tour—and especially Yoshiko—for anyone visiting Hiroshima.

My wife & I spent a fabulous day with Yuji visiting Miyajima & Hiroshima.. From his greeting to us on our arrival at Hiroshima station to saying good-bye at the same location 8 hours later, he gave us wonderful perspectives of both locations as well as sharing his knowledge of the sights we saw.

Nori-san was patient, a well of stories, and shared freely of his home city during our tour of Hiroshima. He was very detailed in the itinerary, cost breakdown, duration, and flexibility in customisation, both before and during our tour. He went the extra mile to provide the best customer service we could ever ask for. My mother was elderly but we thoroughly enjoyed everywhere Nori-san brought us, with mindfulness of her limited mobility.

Hiroshi was an amazing tour guide. He showed us incredible spots we never would have found on our own and shared so much interesting history throughout the tour. You can tell he genuinely cares about giving people a great experience. On top of that, he was kind, friendly, and just a great person overall. Highly recommend booking a tour with Hiroshi if you get the chance!

This is as a great tour of Hiroshima and nearby island. Our guide was from the area and took us around getting the best position on trains and ferry’s. The one thing I would do if I were to go again is to start earlier. In any case this is as one of our Japan highlights.

We had the absolute pleasure of having Sei as our tour guide for the eight hour tour of Hiroshima and Miyajima Island. From the moment I booked Sei was in contact via our WhatsApp chat. He wanted to know what we were most looking forward to seeing so he could work the itinerary around that. We planned to meet in the lobby of our hotel and he was there 10 minutes before our meeting time, we were greeted with a extremely well dressed man with a friendly smile and a warm welcome to us. I had mentioned to Sei that we wanted to see as much as we could in the eight hours so he suggested that to save some time we take a cab to a couple of the places we were quite happy to do that and it did save time. We had the most amazing eight hours with Sei he’s knowledge of the local areas and the history is fantastic. He was able to answer any questions we had and would also add little tip bits.He knew all the best places to take photos so instead of queueing with many others for the perfect shot, he had other places that were just as good if not better. In between Miyajima Island and going to the Peace Park Sei took us to a local place for Okonomiyaki Hiroshima style OMG The Best Okonomiyaki we had in Japan, it was fascinating to watch them make them and eat with locals . Sei was a wealth of knowledge about the Atom Bomb as we walked around the park and visited Hiroshima Peace Memorial (Genbaku Done), Peace Park Flame , Children’s Peace Monument ,Peace Memorial Museum. It really is a must do place to visit and it certainly is an emotional experience. Having Sei there to talk us through what we were seeing and the history behind it was so beneficial and I don’t think we would have got as much out of the day if we hadn’t had him as our tour guide . If you are planing on visiting Hiroshima I definitely recommend you ask for Sei, you won’t regret it .

We had a fantastic day with our local guide Lisa. The tour was well thought out and all transfers and destinations were smooth and enjoyable. Lisa gave us an amazing experience and we would highly recommend this tour to have a full overview of Hiroshima. We enjoyed beautiful fresh oysters and Okonomiyaki in a local setting. So much fun, Thankyou Lisa.
