5.00I booked the Matthias Church & Buda Castle tour through Viator. The tour was very well structured, with great historical context throughout and a perfect pace for exploring the Castle District. Highlights included the beautiful interior tour of Matthias Church, panoramic views from Fisherman’s Bastion, and fascinating insights into the history of the Royal Palace over the centuries. The tour concluded with a grand view of Matthias Fountain and was an excellent blend of history, architecture, and scenery. Our guide. Leti, did an amazing job bringing the history to life while keeping the experience engaging and enjoyable throughout, even in challenging weather conditions. Highly recommend this tour, and if I return to Budapest, I would absolutely do it again.

He told the legends and stories from centuries before and he made us understand why it was important or groundbreaking at the time. We have learnt a lot and had so much fun.
