Our full-day tour of Edinburgh and Rosslyn Chapel is a great combination of our Edinburgh Highlights and Rosslyn Chapel tours. On the trip you will experience a comprehensive narrated tour of Edinburgh's history, through the old town and new town. See many of Edinburgh's famous landmarks but also go off the beaten path to explore some areas we know and love.
After a late lunch take the short hop out of the city to Rosslyn Chapel, one of Scotland's most important religious sites. Almost destroyed by the elements a chance visit from Queen Victoria reversed Rosslyn's fate and a more recent visit by Tom Hanks put the church on the world-stage.
Your kilt-wearing private tour guide will explain the history of the places you visit and will regale you with stories and folklore as you travel.
Our premium Mercedes minivans are ideal for the journey, offering unrivalled comfort for up to 7 guests. Bottled water, wee treats and wifi is complimentary onboard.

Debbie was our guide and she was wonderful! She told us a lot about the places we visited and took us on a nice tour of Edinburgh, Rosslyn Chapel and Craigmillar Castle. We made a quick stop in Duddingston as well. Debbie was fun and informative. When we come back to Edinburgh, we will definitely look to book private tours with Experienced Tours again and will hope to get Debbie again. We highly recommend this tour and this tour company.

Our tour guide Rob was absolutely incredible. He told the history of each place in such a detailed and incredibly interesting way. He was genuine, funny, and very knowledgeable. The coach was luxurious and extremely comfortable. The locations were beautiful and so rich in history. I will be booking through this company in the future.

This tour was a fantastic tour! Our guide Sandy was wonderful. He was super friendly and very knowledgeable about all the places we visited and the history of Scotland. He took the time to take us to some very special little places throughout the day and was very flexible and adapted the tour to us. What a great way to see the city, we had a really great time!

We had a fantastic tour with Ben as our guide. Edinburgh was one of our cruise port stops. We tried to book a shore excursion through the ship to see the chapel but it was already fully booked. We were able to book with Experienced Tours before the cruise began and it was easy to do. Ben was very knowledgeable and showed us the highlights of Edinburgh and then off we went to Rosslyn Chapel. He got us the best seats in the chapel for the presentation and we were much better off than the other passengers from our ship. We couldn't have had a better time and made it back to the ship with no problems.

Laura was fantastic. Our cruise ship changed the itineraary and Laura made sure that she was there waitng. Edinburgh doesn't a cruise ship dock so you must tender. The ship was slow in allowing guest off, we were in contact with her throughout the process. We only had a limited time in port, so she adjusted the schedule and made the most of out time. Rosslyn Chapel is unique. Lots of hidden art within the framework. Laura took the time to point out the stories in the artwork we might have overlooked. I highly recommend Laura.

If you want a first class 10 star experience this is the tour company to choose! From the time I booked (Oct) until the time we toured (Dec) Sandy, Calais, and his crew were outstanding. We booked three tours with them - each one outstanding! Communication, desire to meet your specific travel needs, historic knowledge, customer service and friendly but professional care - all top notch...I cannot say enough about this company. When we return to beautiful Scotland, we will be booking with them again. I have been in hospitality for over 20 years and as a retired military officer I have been all over the world experiencing a myriad of tours/places/cultures...these young men know how to do it right. Thank you, Sandy and Calais for taking such great care of us. Love love love you guys.

My mom and I regret booking with two different tour companies prior to coming Edinburgh because Experienced Tours was the far superior experience! We wish we had done every single tour with Experienced Tours! Our guide, Sandy, was knowledgeable, funny, friendly, charming, thoughtful, personable…in fact there’s not enough room to list all of Sandy’s positive attributes! He is truly a master of his craft. Not only did he show us all of Edinburgh’s must-sees but he also took us to hidden gems and places we didn’t even know we wanted to see! His passion for and command of Scottish history and culture is evident and contagious. He left us thoroughly invested in wanting to learn more about this great wee country! We typically don’t revisit countries but we are definitely coming back to Scotland and will reach out to Sandy when we do!

Andy was an amazing Tour guide. He was knowledgeable and accommodating! He took us to see highland cows as we requested. Amazing lunch at the oldest surviving pub. The chapel and castle were impressive. He made everything as easy as possible and even found us a store for wool. I recommend Andy for any tour. He took us to castle ruins so we could visit Outlander site. Andy made our visit memorable.
