It was founded in the seventh century and was once the beating heart of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Balad can literally be translated as "The Town. We will Explore the old town and try some traditional dishes and go shopping in the bazaar.

5.00This was a fascinating tour of Jeddah’s old town, covering the key sights and lots of hidden gems too. From old buildings with staircases for camels, to spice markets and winding stone streets, it was a great introduction to the culture of the city and country. Osama was a fantastic guide and a great ambassador for Jeddah and Saudi Arabia. His deep knowledge and amusing stories really brought the history alive. He also kindly scheduled regular stops for refreshments and aircon, as welcome breaks from the heat. Don’t miss the camel milk gelato and sugarcane juice! I’d highly recommend the tour and hope to return some day. Thank you!
