War Remnants Museum
The War Remnants Museum in Ho Chi Minh City first opened to the public in 1975. Once known as the ‘Museum of American War Crimes’, it's a shocking reminder of the long and brutal Vietnam War. Graphic photographs and American military equipment are on display. There's a helicopter with rocket launchers, a tank, a fighter plane, a single-seater attack aircraft. You can also see a conventional bomb that weighs at 6,800kg. American troops had used these weapons against the Vietnamese between 1945 and 1975.
Ba Thien Hau Temple
One of the most important pagodas in the city, this richly decorated temple is dedicated to Thien Hau, the Goddess of the Sea and patron of sailors. She is said to travel over the oceans on a mat and ride the clouds to wherever she desires.

Well, we had an amazing day in Ho Chi Minh mainly due to our guide Peter who was excellent. His English was perfect and his knowledge on everything was amazing (and we asked him a million questions). We had a great laugh with him, and he really made my day. Our driver Nicolas whilst he didn’t speak English just as well was also very friendly and helpful. It was an action-packed day visiting the War Remnants Museum (which was very interesting), Independence Palace, The Post Office, stopping off for a lovely lunch and then Chinatown and the Thien Tau Temple. Peter gave us lots of information on the Thien Tau Temple, which was fascinating (and I’m not really a Temple person). All in all, a fantastic day and one of the best shore excursions we did from our cruise. This was due to Peter & Nicolas. Thanks guys.

Nice kid gave the tour. Just not particularly knowledgeable. Not pleased at all. Viator needs to vet guides better.

This excursion was limited by the ships arrival and all aboard times. At the beginning of the journey I questioned the guide about return time and was told beck by 3 pm. During the day I reminded the guide of the timing. The trip from the ship to Hi Chi Minh city was 90 minutes. We wasted about 30 minutes in the city trying to reconnect with the driver at one stop. In the end the guide told me it would only take 30-40 minutes to return because it was the weekend. Then the guide abandoned us in the city and left it up to the driver to return us to the ship. It took 87 minutes to return us over an hour late. We still made the ship, but I was not happy.

A very hectic city. I was good to have our own private tour guide to show us where to go. But unfortunately although he was a trier our guide just couldn’t speak English well enough for us to ask questions or understand the detail of what he was saying. The ‘luxury’ transport left a lot to be desired. It was probably a nice car in its day, but not only was it tired but the seat belts didn’t work (and the way they drive out here you want a seat belt on). The driver had two mobile phone on the go, one for his videos the other for his regular phone calls and text messages (sending and receiving!!) Better value than the cruise tours but left us feeling it could be so much better.

We were picked up right at the exit gate by the driver and guide. Good start! Mr. Nam, our guide, is a very informative and energetic person who was very helpful throughout the entire tour. We liked everything. A thousand thanks. I highly recommend it.

Punctual pickup and drop off, very polite and welcoming guide, enjoyed the places we visited, were provided with one bottle of water, lunch was excellent and accommodating as one member had food allergies, only thing that was a negative and why we did not rate it higher was that the tour guide needed to be speaking clearer English, our guide struggled to understand some of our questions asked and we would of liked to spend more time at certain stops
