Sailors will experience what it is really like sailing aboard a large ocean-going yacht, and they can take turns on the winches or even try their hand at the wheel if they like.

This experience was amazing and I would definitely do it again. David and Lachie are a wealth of sailing knowledge, and being given the opportunity to steer the yacht was definitely a highlight, as were the scones and cheeseboard. Definitely a must do activity when in Hobart. Thank you.

Sailing was a great way to see another side of Hobart! The skipper and crew were very knowledgeable about sailing as well as the area. we were offered beverages and a charcuterie board. We were also given the opportunity to take the helm! It was great fun!

A great experience to sail on a Sydney to Hobart yacht. The skipper and crew were friendly, experienced and willingly shared their knowledge of the boat, the Derwent and surrounds. It was fabulous to take over the helm and sail this beautiful yacht. The morning tea was lovely and the whole experience well worth it. Highly recommend for anyone keen to be out on the water.

Thoroughly enjoyed the 3 hour sailing trip. Had the opportunity to take over the wheel & receive instructions from the skipper. More difficult to steer than expected. Only negative was the morning tea, Crew need to learn how to brew tea. It was very weak. Scones jam & cream were delicious and cheese platter was enjoyed by all. A very pleasant way to spend your day in Hobart. Great skipper & crew.

A truly great sailing experience. As someone who has been sailing professionally for 12 years and racing extensively, I can confidently say this was a proper sailing vessel, handled by an absolutely competent crew. This wasn’t just cruising around the harbour as a typical tourist experience this was real sailing, done right. We were trimming sails and powering through 25+ knots without holding back. I personally loved every minute of it.

3 hr trip within the Derwent River Hobart. My partner and I had such a lovely time, staff were super friendly, knowledgeable not only about the Yacht but also about Hobart and accommodating. Awesome experience, scones, tea, coffee provided and for those who preferred alcoholic beverages were available. Yacht is stunning and if keen you have the opportunity to steer .. I would recommend this experience 100%. Thank you for an awesome experience, will 100% recommend.

I took this sail just over 10 years ago and loved it, so booked it again. It was just as good, with the same perfect scones and cheese platter, good company, warm and competent crew and excellent weather for spending a beautiful 3 hours on the Derwent River. Highly recommend!!

The crew are very competent sailors and willing to share their knowledge with guests. The boat is in good condition and very safe. The weather is no doubt a big part of enjoying a sailing day - for us, we had great day exploring a magnificent (and largely protected) stretch of water.
