What a fantastic experience! I was taken on this tour by Flower who was knowledgeable and friendly. I was the only one on my tour (solo-traveler) and would definitely recommend even if you are not traveling in a group. Highlights of the tour for me were the fish sauce workshop which I found very strangely peaceful as well as getting to try traditional matt weaving. It was great getting to see the spaces that local artisans make their foods and crafts in. The tour really delivered on its promise of giving tourists a glimpse into what everyday life is like outside of the hustle and bustle of the Hoi An tourist districts. I am coeliac and was not expecting to be able to participate in the food tasting parts of the experience but after sharing information about my dietary requirements in Vietnamese I was delighted that Flower was able to adjust the tour for me. Please note that I was the only one in my group - make your own enquiries about whether similar accommodations can be made in advance.

Authentic experience in Vietnamese countryside with local hosts and hands-on cultural learning, good food. We would've never discovered these places or known this info going on our own, and the guide was very friendly, informative, punctual. THe tour started early in the morning so we got to see a beautiful sunrise, escape the heat and also when it finishes you still have the whole day to explore. My favorite part was making the rice noodles/tortilla.

Starts very early at 5am, but worth the extra effort. Very informative and immersive.

My experience with the Hoi An tour was wonderful. Our tour guide showed us hidden local attractions and gave us the chance to experience local food and scenery you wouldn’t normally see without a guide. Would definitely recommend!

Together with our friends we had a wonderful tour in Hoi An. Our guide Sue, welcomed us and surprised us with a beautiful sunrise. It's amazing to experience this. Then began our journey past typical villages, local fishermen, and all kinds of traditional crafts. Tasting the rice wine and rice noodles under an expert explanation from our guide! Especially the beautiful landscapes and typical fields we loved. We could also empathize with the doings of the villagers and get acquainted with their habits. The guide made sure we could take a break in time and have a drink. Sue's enthusiasm was unseen: friendly and helpful. She also told many facts about life in Hoi An. Beautiful beautiful beautiful

I had an amazing time on this tour visiting villages in Hoi An. Starting with a beautiful, magical sunrise, this tour takes you to see local life where you can witness how the villages start their day, visiting a fishing village and market, before some other stops to learn about traditional methods to make rice paper and noodles, rice wine, fish sauce, and crafts such as mat weaving. I was guided by Billy who is easily the best tour guide in Hoi An - full of knowledge and stories, but also kind, friendly, and always making sure his guests are having the best time. The tour is well planned, with many different visits that each add something to the overall picture of local life in Hoi An’s rural villages. I learned so much from Billy’s explanations and insights. At each stop, I was given the time and opportunity to interact with the locals and also hands-on experiences which made it all the more meaningful to be able to learn from them too. This was my favourite tour I did in Hoi An (and all of Vietnam actually), as it brought me to see another side of Hoi An, and get a deeper understanding of local life. Thank you Billy, for an incredible tour and experience which was really really special!

What an amazing experience we’ve had. I would recommend this to everyone. Quyen was an excellent and friendly tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and very patient with us. We enjoyed the tour from start to finish. Especially the part where we could see those fresh seafood straight from the ocean. I’ve never seen huge and fresh Escargot up close as well as those huge jellyfish! It was a plus for me! Enjoyed learning how they made fish sauce. Got to meet the people who made rice wine. Got to experience how they made fresh noodles and even got to taste it after we’ve made some! It was awesome! The weaving … how it was made! The lady who weaved almost a 100 per day by hand! She had inspired all of us at that age! Loved everything about this tour!

Don't be put off by the early start time! This tour takes you around the markets and workshops of the locals of Hoi An, who start their days quite early (thus the early start time). Our guide Quyen was very warm and knowledgeable and all the locals at the places she took us were very welcoming. I would definitely recommend this tour!

Booking this experience brought me SO MUCH JOY! I didn’t want it to end. It’s exactly the type of experience I want to have when visiting a new place, a new country for the first time. Away from the touristy, big groups, it was really special and it’s exactly the type of experience I l”crave. We had Sue as our host/guide and right from the start she felt like a new friend. We were a small group of 3 (4 with Sue!) and we had the best time learning, visiting, sharing stories, laughing and eating. It was better than I had hoped for and for this I want to say THANK YOU!!!!
