We recently travelled to Hong Kong. Since this was a new experience for us...we decided to hire a private tour guide, Amy Overy, to take us around Hong Kong before we left for a cruise to Viet Nam, Thailand and Singapore. Amy was amazing! She was enthusiastic, energetic, knowledgeable..and a delight to be around. She made sure that we were able to see as many sights as possible in just 7 hours. She is a wealth of information regarding Hong Kong. We would highly recommend her for anyone looking for a private tour in Hong Kong.

Amy met us in our hotel lobby that morning which we truly appreciated, it can be hard to find a guide at a meeting spot in an unfamiliar city. We were to go on to spend two days with Amy and it couldn't have been a better experience. Amy is warm, friendly, knowledgeable and obviously loves living in and experiencing all that Hong Kong has to offer. I don't think there was a question we had that she wasn't able to answer, both historically as well as being informative and enlightening on the current political/social situation. We were able to visit all of the sites on our wish list as well as a special treat in visiting the Ohel Leah synagogue in the mid-level area. We moved at a fast pace and experienced all forms of public transport which we greatly enjoyed. Definitely a fascinating day exploring with a first class tour guide.

With Amy as your guide, the Jewish Heritage Tour includes a detailed history of Jewish travel and inclusion into Hong Kong over centuries // With great energy and enthusiasm, Amy goes out of her way to fill in historical perspective to the physical structures that are still around today //

Amy our guide was just a delight. Great personality and we clicked straight away. Best decision ever, after not being to Hong Kong for 20 years and my sister had never been there, we jumped into the 8hr tour and never stopped, exact for coffee and a really lovely traditional lunch with Amy ordering a great variety of tastes for the region.

I’m was never one for booking tour guides or doing the “BUS TOUR” but as I had a stopover in HK to renew my visa, I decided to take a chance and I was NOT disappointed. If you want the short version, BOOK THEM NOW. superb service and great value for money if you want the long version get a cup of tea and start reading lol. Trip advisor let me down as i could not change the activity review, as this was a private 8 hour tour :) First contact was via email to see if they could accommodate a 50/50 tour of day and evening tour. Within hours they responded with a brief outline of a programme and asking if there was anything special I want to see or not see! Once I signed up, I was given details of Nadia who would be my guide for the tour, again a quick email of introduction to find out my likes and dislikes of food, locations etc. SO from the start first class service. On the actual day of the trip, Nadia was very punctual and welcoming. After we met, she took me on the tour, covering all areas of HK travel (MTR, Ferries, the odd taxi and the ding ding trams, the escalator walk ways and the compulsory octopus card!) over all my favourite spot of the whole day was the Nan Lian Gardens. I had a great day and evening. NO CLOCK watching as the evening ran late. I enjoyed Nadia’s easy-going style. Nothing was too much trouble and she showed good knowledge HK daily life and the history of HK. Within 24 hours of the tour ending, I recived a detailed email covering all we had seen and done. I can’t thank Nadia and Amy enough for the wonderful time. I would highly recommend their service and look forward to my next trip to HK were Hong Kong Greeters wwill be my first point of contact for the next adventure.
