Izola
Meet your guide at the pier, just outside the terminal building next to the ORANGE Hop & Taste Beach Flag, and begin with a guided scenic drive through Izola. Once a small island and later an important fishing town, Izola is known for its maritime heritage, colorful harbor, and relaxed coastal atmosphere. Your guide will share stories about its history and traditional life along the Adriatic as you pass the old town and waterfront. The drive continues to a panoramic viewpoint above Izola, offering one of the most striking views on the Slovenian Coast. From here, admire the northern Adriatic Sea with Izola, Koper, and Piran below, and the Julian Alps rising in the background. On clear days, the contrast between sea, hills, and Alpine peaks creates a truly memorable photo opportunity.
Wine Fountain Marezige
In the charming hilltop village of Marezige, known as the heart of Refosco wine country above Koper, travelers will discover a blend of rich history, authentic culture, and breathtaking scenery. 5.00We were picked up at dock on time in a very nice bus , very comfy seats. our amazing guide Mateja was just fantastic. She was very informative and was great to get such detailed information, then we had stops at some really great places , beautiful views , beautiful food , was not expecting all we got. Highly recommended this tour. You will have a great day sampling foods , enjoying amazing views and learn alot about Slovenia.

1.00Do not take this. We got 5 coupons. We only tasted one wine! The tour guide was great. The one winery had a beautiful view and a yummy wine… but we got one glass!!!!! I was expecting getting to taste many!

5.00The sights we visited were beautiful and the guide , Natasha, kept us informed with fun facts and history. The walking part of the tour was also full of history and interesting facts. It would have been helpful if the guide has a microphone during the walking part since there were so many people but she did her best.

1.00We turned up for the tour along with another couple. The local tour operator Kopertours kiosk was closed and the phone number given was either using Slovenian or when it used English it just said it was the wrong number. Waited until 60 minutes after due time but no-one showed up. Contacted Viator support and they finally made contact with the operator who then called me, apologised and made a full refund that day. Very disappointing and wouldn’t use them again.

4.00We just did this tour last week as a part of the Norwegian Cruise Line. I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. We started with a drive through the city and stopped at a place to take some pictures. Our guide Natasha was very sweet. We then proceeded to a gorgeous winery with fantastic views and a wine fountain. We were able to sample one wine included in our price. We stayed for about 30-45 minutes and then proceeded to the Koper town center. We got a tour of the area and also tried gelato. Unfortunately the donuts were sold out so we were unable to try those but we proceeded to cookies and tapas. A nice easygoing tour! Enjoyed it!

3.00Our guide, Andi, was very good. He was personable and informative as he told us about the history of the country and gave us insight into the people and their daily lives. The tour, however, wasn’t what I expected. We didn’t go to Piran (a main reason I chose the tour) as indicated in the tour description. Andi explained that they stopped going there due to overcrowding which is understandable but it should have been removed from the description. The taste portion of the tour was also disappointing. While the wine was quite good the other items we tasted were a donut, gelato, a liqueur, and a huge cookie or another gelato. Each of these were good but I expected to try a cheese or meat or some other typical food instead of all sweets.
