What To Expect
Rovaniemi
First, we will pick you up from the Rovaniemi area and head towards Kotatuli’s farm. Along the way, you will see the beauty of Lapland’s nature and leave the bustle of the city behind.
Upon arrival at Kotatuli’s farm, you will be welcomed into a peaceful countryside setting and introduced to our horses. Together, we will prepare them for the ride, taking time to ensure the process is calm and comfortable for both horses and participants. Before setting off, we will go through important safety guidelines and discuss, as a group, how and where our ride will take place. You will also have the opportunity to learn more about the horses, their personalities, and their way of life here in Lapland, gaining insight into the bond between people and these gentle animals.

5.00A wonderful horse riding experience in Rovaniemi! The horses were very well-behaved and perfect even for beginners. The ride took us through beautiful snowy forests up to a hill with an amazing view. Our guide was super friendly, helpful, and communicative. A great farm with a lovely atmosphere – you can really see that the animals are well cared for. Highly recommended!

5.00The best adventure of your stay. Katia is very loving of these horses and you are far from being in a tourist catch but in a family sphere. She was able to adapt to the group and the different levels by offering two different walks. I recommend you a lot during my walk, I believed myself in the world of Narnia, it was amazing 🤩

5.00This was a phenomenal experience! The hosts provided a horseback riding tour in the beautiful forest, followed by some sausage and cookies with coffee by an open fire in a very cozy hut. We also then got to experience their lovely sauna, mixed with jumping in the cold lake - a very exciting experience! Overall the hosts were very warm and welcoming, and shared lots of knowledge and experience regarding their horses, home, and lifestyle. The whole experience was very relaxing, yet also adventurous and nice. I would recommend it for families, couples, and even solo travelers!

5.00Katya and Joni were very welcoming and fantastic hosts! My partner and I did the horseback riding and sauna. Even though it was my first time riding a horse and I was nervous, the horses are very well trained and patient and Katya was very reassuring and instructive! We toured the Finnish forest, which is beautiful in the fall, and got to see some wildlife. During the ride, Katya talked a bit about the history and different facts about the land around us. Afterwards, we had coffee and snacks in a traditional Finnish hut and then went to the sauna. It was a magical experience, very intimate and relaxing! I 100% recommend coming to their homestead if you want to make the most out of your trip.
