Ballooning near Geelong, Victoria’s second - largest city, offers a spectacular mix of coastal and rural scenery. From the air, passengers enjoy views of rolling green hills, farmland, the winding Barwon River, and the sweeping coastline of Port Phillip Bay. On clear mornings, sights may extend to the You Yangs and out toward the ocean.
Flights launch from various locations depending on wind conditions, including Geelong itself, Murgheboluc, Bannockburn, and across the Bellarine Peninsula. Each launch site provides a unique and memorable perspective of the region.
Balloon flights operate year - round, weather permitting, with peak availability from November to March. It is an exceptional way to experience one of Victoria’s most diverse landscapes.
Geelong is just over an hour’s drive from Melbourne, making it ideal for a day trip or a relaxing overnight stay in the Geelong and Bellarine region.

5.00Had an incredible hot air balloon flight over Geelong today with Liberty Balloon Flights. The entire experience was very calm and relaxing, and I felt extremely safe the whole time. Dan was an amazing pilot—professional, friendly, and clearly very experienced with over 2000 flights. The whole team, including Rob, Guardy, Thor were professional and worked well as team. The views and scenery were absolutely beautiful and made the early start completely worth it. I would 100% do this again and highly recommend Liberty Balloon Flights to anyone considering a balloon flight. 🎈

5.00A fabulous start to my 80th birthday. Dan, Lisa, Brad and Gary were a great team, extremely hospitable and ensured we had a great and very safe flight. The dawn rising over the bay was glorious and it was lovely to see Geelong and the Bellarine from the air. We finished up with a very good buffet breakfast at the Rydges hotel and of course the obligatory champagne.
