What To Expect
Pick up from your hotel at 4:30 am to drive towards Soraypampa, here, you will have a delicious breakfast overlooking the majestic mountain peaks of Salkantay and Humantay. It’s then a 2-hour hike uphill to Humantay Lake (4200 mt) located at the base of a mountain with the same name, the views of the crystal clear water reflecting the sky is unforgettable, you can also see native birds, flowers, and magnificent mountain tops. Upon arriving at the lake you will have time to explore the surroundings or just relax. Before you start descending your Tour Guide will perform an ancient ceremony paying tributes to the mountain gods.

5.00I would love to recognize our travel advisor Acdiel from TreXperience. From the moment I reached out for information about the Salkantay & Humantay lake trek, he has been incredibly kind, informative, patient and helpful with my planning and decision making. Initially wanting to add Machu Picchu to my plans, Acdiel came up with a plan and sent me an itinerary straight to my email that would have been the only way to make the impossible visit to the ruins work out last minute as every circuit is booked through September. I appreciated his honestly and advice & also patience as I decided on an alternative route to the Salkantay trek for me and my partner. Without hesitation he sent me a PDF packed with information for the new journey. He answered all the little questions I had with a prompt response time and never seemed bothered by all my questions. It can be stressful planning a trip, but having people that are good hearted like Acdiel made the experience wonderful, the best customer service I have experienced and we are looking forward to our trip next week! 5.00I did the tour to Humantay Lagoon with Elias and it was really great. I had a lot of fun, all the time I felt taken care of and gap experience was amazing. Elias is a great guide, took some spectacular photos and managed to make this tour an unforgettable experience. Ron the driver also very skilled to drive and everything worked smoothly.

He was incredibly knowledgeable about the history, culture, and hidden stories .His passion for the Inca history truly came through. The guide was also very friendly, patient, and well-organized. 5.00We had a beautiful day and amazing views of the lake, glacier, and mountains. Our day started early with a great breakfast. We continued our journey to the trailhead and started our ascent. We had not adjusted yet to the high altitude and were a bit short of breath, but our guide Roger “Roya” was patient and encouraging. We had plenty of time for pictures. Lunch was above and beyond with first class table setting and delicious food! Great day!

5.00We got the best Guide possible, Maribel is amazing, she explained us super in detail all the details of the lagoon and also many others related to the Inca culture. It made us feel super welcome and was certainly the Best Guide I had in Cusco, if you do any tour with Trexperience ask about Maribel, you will not regret taking the best photos. In addition to her we went with Danilo our driver who had the best music and always talking with us very kindly, Anderson and Pedro, our cooks also did a spectacular job and everything with a super seasoning. Widely recommended this experience but I think the best of all was the team we shared with and if that was not enough this group tour turned out to be private because we were the only ones:)) I can not tire of recommending to my guides and Trexperience. Thank you so much for everything
