1.00I contacted the company on the morning of our excursion to confirm our booking, and they assured me at 9 a.m. (two hours before departure) that “the sail will go on, no worries.” However, when we arrived at the meeting point, the captain informed us that the sail had been canceled due to weather conditions. Our issue isn’t that the excursion was canceled — we understand that weather can change — but that I had confirmed with them just two hours earlier, and they didn’t bother to notify us before we drove over 30 minutes and paid for parking. The captain offered to move us to the 3 p.m. sunset tour and said she would confirm beforehand if it was still happening. She never followed up as promised, and instead, the company messaged me around 2 p.m. to say it was canceled as well. It’s clear they don’t respect their customers’ time and are more concerned about money. I even overheard the captain on the phone with the office saying that another couple was a “no-show” — even though the excursion was canceled — which makes me think they’ll still be charged unfairly.
