We will be ice fishing for stocked Rainbow Trout on one of the local lakes right here in Whistler. The fish range between 8 & 14 inches in length but if you are lucky there is the "chance" of hooking an 18 + inch trout. This is a great experience for those new to ice fishing. I will set up a large tent-like ice fishing shelter which will have a heater inside to keep you nice and toasty. We also put you in a pair of insulated winter boots with ice cleats for warmth & safety. If it's a nice day you can move around the lake a lot more. This way, you can take in all the beautiful scenery the area has to offer which includes Whistler and Blackcomb mountain in the background. There is a good chance we will have the lake all to ourselves. It's the perfect getaway when you need a break from skiing and want some quiet time. This is truly a Canadian experience that you must cross off your bucket list

What To Expect

IMPORTANT: We practice catch & release for ALL trips. Under NO exceptions do we keep fish to bring home to eat. Our guides will pick you up from your accommodation and will then drive you to 1 of 3 possible lakes in the Whistler area. All lakes are a short drive away from the main Whistler village. 3 hour trip from pick up to drop off. Not 3 hours of fishing. Approximately 2 hours of actual fishing

Even if you're not into fishing you''ll enjoy this unique experience Ice Fishing on a frozen lake. It's different, it holds your attention and when you catch a fish or two it's a real buzz for you and the group, you're with. It's something you don't get to do every day, definitely worth a try.

It was a fun and unique experience!! We had so much fun 😊 everything was beyond our expectations. We did in total about 16 catch and release! I truly recommend for a fun different activity!

BEST FISHING ADVENTURE IN THE SNOW! My wife, husband, adult daughter and her boyfriend all went ice fishing for the first time. Matt was a great teacher who is very passionate about the environment, fish and our success. We caught numerous rainbow trout and had a great time. Highly recommend this excursion when u need a break from the slopes.

My son and I started out the New Year ice fishing and had a great time! We learned a lot and were lucky to get out as it finally got cold enough to be out on the ice safely. It was great learning from an expert and we loved the novelty of being out on the ice. Matt was patient in teaching the basics and worked hard to make it a fun, easy trip. The time went by quickly and I can't wait to get back out.

My partner and I had the yet another memorable ice fishing experience thanks to Matthew and Jared! We booked this outing to celebrate my partner's birthday - since we had such a great time 3 years ago. Even though the weather this year was warmer, we were lucky there was ice and they made sure we had a safe and fun outing. From the moment they picked us up at the hotel, Matthew and Jared had the greatest enthusiasm to make sure we would caught a fish. Not only did we both catch something, they had great banter the whole time. Thank you again!
