We’ll outfit you with warm, insulated winter boots complete with ice cleats for safety and comfort, then take you to one of our prime local lakes. There, your expert guide sets up a spacious, heated ice-fishing shelter that keeps you toasty warm while you target feisty stocked rainbow trout ranging from 8 to 14 inches — with the exciting chance of landing a trophy 18+ incher. This is the authentic, cozy Canadian winter experience you came to Whistler for — one to cross off your bucket list forever!

Tours are not private. Your group may be combined with another group

What To Expect
IMPORTANT: We practice catch & release for ALL trips. Under NO exceptions do we keep fish to bring home to eat. Our guides will pick you up from your accommodation and will then drive you to 1 of 3 possible lakes in the Whistler area. All lakes are a short drive away from the main Whistler village. 3 hour trip from pick up to drop off. Not 3 hours of fishing. Approximately 2 hours of actual fishing

5.00We got to go out on the ice the first day of the season. Matt was awesome at giving us safety information along with guidance on how to catch trout under the ice. He moved us from spot to spot to increase our chances. Every group in the tour caught at least one fish. Matt even gave the literal coat off of his back to my son when he was cold. We would definitely recommend this experience to anyone traveling to Whistler.

5.00Even if you're not into fishing you''ll enjoy this unique experience Ice Fishing on a frozen lake. It's different, it holds your attention and when you catch a fish or two it's a real buzz for you and the group, you're with. It's something you don't get to do every day, definitely worth a try.

5.00BEST FISHING ADVENTURE IN THE SNOW! My wife, husband, adult daughter and her boyfriend all went ice fishing for the first time. Matt was a great teacher who is very passionate about the environment, fish and our success. We caught numerous rainbow trout and had a great time. Highly recommend this excursion when u need a break from the slopes.

5.00My son and I started out the New Year ice fishing and had a great time! We learned a lot and were lucky to get out as it finally got cold enough to be out on the ice safely. It was great learning from an expert and we loved the novelty of being out on the ice. Matt was patient in teaching the basics and worked hard to make it a fun, easy trip. The time went by quickly and I can't wait to get back out.
