What To Expect
Ice fishing has been part of Finnish culture for centuries. Traditionally it was one of the rare ways to get food in wintertime when the conditions were the roughest. Nowadays, many Finnish people still enjoy sitting on a frozen lake for hours to try to catch their lunch and relax. If you get lucky and catch fish the guide will even show and teach you how to prepare the fish right there on the spot!

5.00We booked this activity with StayLapland and it was fantastic. We are 2 adults and 2 kids and our guide Sophia was absolutely great, she explained us a lot about Lapland, how they live, traditions and answered patiently the 300 questions the boys had for her. The place is beautiful and the company could accommodate this activity for us in the afternoon. Really good service, if we are lucky enough to be back to Rovaniemi together again we will use StayLapland for more activities
