I had a great time at HanaYou's ikebana workshop and would recommend it to anyone seeking a low-pressure environment to make some lovely flower arrangements. All the flowers provided were very beautiful and in-season. I already knew a little bit about ikebana but still felt that I got a lot of value out of the class. We also got to take photos of our creations afterwards which was a nice touch! There's lots of lovely shops, cafes and bakeries in the neighbourhood too so when you come here you'll find plenty to do before and after your class!

This is a wonderful and intimate Ikebana experience! Ryoko is super nice and patient and teaches you the foundation of Misho-ryu school ikebana before you letting you experiment on your own. It's a perfect balance of instruction and freedom. We got to work with three different flowers/grasses, and half of us used different combinations. Ryoko's final advice really improved my arrangement, making me very happy.

First Ikebana lesson in Kyoto! Entrance is a little tricky to find...and turn out to be a homey and warm house with relaxing vibe. So happy to find a friendly teacher communicating in good English! The instructor practice Misho-ryo style. She used to teach in New York and they recently opened a new classroom here. It was a session of four and I like the small scale class. As a begginer, I appreciate the attentiveness and being able to ask questions and get help easily. I definitely learnt a lot ! Thank you for the great experience 😊 🙏🏻 I would look forward to learn more from her!

This was a great experience. I learned a lot from Ryoko. She truly has a passion for educating her guests about the history and use of Ikebana. She gives great and clear English directions, and I would highly recommend her class.
